Its a private school, they have a right to do it. I went to Catholic school for 4 years in middle school. They probably have more insane requirements than this.

Don’t patronize it if you don’t like their rules.

Why did everyone downvote this? This is literally your only options. Disagreeing with something and the reality of the situation are two different things.

What do you expect out of the Jesuits anyway? As big a' bunch of totalitarians as you will find of the face of the earth. Scary as eff is what they are.

Probably a statement to appease Orleans Parish. I’m sure inside the school no one gives a shite.

Because morons only like the private business argument when it’s on their side.

because I posted it…. I’m sure you know the feels, Wheels.

Honestly the OT is usually a champion of private businesses, kind of surprising. I mean it’s a clown world but I’m principled

You are always such a dumbass. Do you have to try to be that way or does it just come naturally?

Yeah, like parents are gonna give up their “my son goes to Jesuit” bragging rights, and their blue “J” car magnet.

One can be a “champion of private business” and still say they disagree with certain choices of private businesses. This one stinks (my kid’s school has the same rule). I’m not saying they should be legislatively prohibited from making it, though (and unless I’m missing something, haven’t seen anyone argue that here).

There’s nothing “inconsistent” with “the market” there.

You certainly don't live in New Orleans. Jesuit will not have enrollment issues. They probably send out twice as many rejection letters as the next high school private or public within 10k tuition
