At least get a safety razor and quit wasting money on cartridges.
I did this about 15 years ago after seeing those cartridge razor prices constantly going up. Now, they are at stupid levels.
I got me a Merkur Safety Razor that is chrome plated steel and uses the double edge razor blades my dad used when I was a kid. I get them in bulk on-line and only order them about once every 2 years or so that way.
I get a good, close shave with the Merkur and would not hesitate to purchase another one if something happens to the one I currently have.

I like the feather blades
I have those and some 5 pack blades from Japan that are also real good for a close shave.
My beard grows all the way to the edge of my bottom lip with thick growth and that is the trickiest place for me to shave without nicking myself.
I literally have to start the downstroke at the edge of my bottom lip and it gets touch and go at times.

Two of the best investments I’ve made for my face.

I switched to Schick a several years ago. I shave every day and in my experience, if I keep the razor clean (e.g., after using, swish around in the sink and rinse it under running water) it will last several months. I change blades only 2 to 3 times per year.

My nephew grew a beard to avoid supporting Gillette.

Try Dorco. South Korean company that's been in business since the Korean War ended
Ive been using Dorco for 6+ years now. Solid razor at a great price. Once a year I buy a new handle and 36 razors for 20% of what I used to pay Gillette. Great product at an even better price.

Believe me, in about four and a half years my shaving days are over and never to return.

It's the equivalent of corndog jokes for LSU. It's just played out. Plus everyone knows the real fgts attend school in Austin where they major in communism and reacharounds.

I use an electric beard trimmer and just keep a very short stubble.

Astra for me also. I did not like Feathers for a reason I don't remember.

I tried Harry’s. You just can’t beat Gillette.

I have to shave daily so I use electric. On Sunday evenings I use a safety razor. Smoothest shave of the week.

Get a straight razor, a bunch of soap, strope, honing stone, and never spend a nickel on shaving again.

Another Dorco recommendation from me. You have to get them on Amazon, now.

Get a quality, high grade steal straight razor. You'll never have to purchase blades again.
I use mine to shave my head once or twice per week, and it lines up my beard with unparalleled precision. My beard looks manicured and glorious, and my dome glistens like a pearl.
I'd recommend learning how to use it by practicing on your forearms or a smooth piece of fruit like an apple or watermelon.
It does take some practice and getting used to, but I promise you'll never look back.

What did Gillette do that offended you?
Get a straight razor.
Get a straight razor.

It really
It really depends on your skin. I've seen Feather mentioned by several people. Feather (Japanese company) makes a great blade, and they are indeed the sharpest on the market. They're also the most expensive brand. Not everyone's skin can take how aggressive they are. Mine can, but I also get great results with many other blades.
I would recommend buying a sampler on Amazon. You can one 5-pack each of several different brands for really cheap. Like, less than $10.00. Vokshod (Russian), Derby (Turkish), Astra (Czech) are all good brands that vary in "aggressiveness." You can then buy a bunch of whichever brand suits your skin the best.
