Rankin County, MS around the reservoir had bike lanes added to many roads, at taxpayer expense of course. A friend up there yells at bicyclists multiple times a week for riding on the road when a bike lane is available. Taxpayer money thrown away instead of refunded.

In areas with well established separated bike lanes, the users are a cross section of society. The real modern facination is people who are unable to adapt to or accept that the world has always and always will change.
