local/city roads are maintained by city property and sales taxes

It wasn't energy used to move the objects. It was transporting and growing the larger amounts of food you need to eat because you ride a bike negates any reduction in your carbon footprint you may have gained.

I think the greater point, is that activists want us to just roll over and die - because it's the environmentally friendly thing to do.

Y'all keep dishonestly phrasing it as exercise only. Plenty of people would use their bikes to commute too

In the hot and humid south?

Ah, no.

I live in a city that's inundated with bike riding hippies and not once have I seen a bike on a major highway.

Also, nobody does any manual labor outdoors in the South either.

And I did once too - because I was broker than broke.

It's not at all practical, outside of very short commutes in urban areas.

Pray tell - what is the difference between showing up for a roofing job, dripping in sweat, and showing up for your banking job, smelling like a water buffalo in heat?

People have functioned in the hot and humid south without A/C for centuries.

For the most part, bikers are pretty damn inconsiderate anywhere ive been. Especially on trails.

I support it as a form of transport but don't be a dick.

Not everyone is a disgusting animal.

Also, if they're commuting to work they probably leave at 7AM or 8AM and are probably biking 10-15 minutes max. That seems doable. Regardless, my job has a workout facility where folks can shower before work but I don't know how common that is.

I know the average height on the OT is 6’7 but as much as people on here bitch about the heat I’m thinking the average weight is north of 3 bills.

You can probably commute on a bike in Louisiana from late September through early May pretty comfortably.
