Speaking of people who seek out promiscuous gay sex

I don't think it's much of a logic leap to think that the man that almost exclusively murdered gay black men was a racist homophobe at heart.
I disagree completely. I think it’s borderline bizarre to suggest a guy who got off almost exclusively on young black men/boys was somehow only doing that because he hated them. He was very clearly sexually attracted to them.
Additionally, if he did have those motives, why wouldn’t he just admit it? That doesn’t make any sense to me.

You do know the woman who lived on side of him in the show didn't really live next to him in real life right?
I googled to see what was accurate and what wasn't, but it isn't a big secret that police in a lot of places didn't police areas of poverty the same as they did "better areas".
Its the reason crack was put into black neighborhoods in the late 80s, in L.A.
The Contras, who the CIA was working with, needed money for supplies and weapons to fight the civil war in Nicaraguan. A lot more money can be made if you make rock than if you sell it as pure cocaine and cocaine was a rich man's drug.
Rock was put in areas where there wasn't much police activity to stop it from being spread out in those communities.
The woman did called several times and they did ignore the situation with that 14 year old boy, allowing him to go back with Dahmer. They took Dahmer's word that he was of legal age despite the fact he evidently looked younger than his real age of 14.
I know some serial killers have high IQs, but Dahmer was an idiot and I do believe if he lived in a more up scale apartment complex he would have been caught earlier because if you think about it. If you are going to bring people back to your place, kill them then cut them all up, an apartment is not the best place. There are people around, power tools are not quiet. The smell.
One part that I thought was funny (I guess funny isn't the right word to use, but it was funny to me) was when he would bring people to his grandmother's house and there were a few people who got away. And there was that dude his grandmother watched over the whole night to make sure Dahmer wouldn't do anything to him. I guess it was just how casual it was.. Grandma was cock blocking TF out of him.

I'm not sure why this is such a social issue and not just a fricking psycho who was gay and "liked" black men.
Because the entirety of history and even fictional storytelling has to be bent towards the political priors of the social justice activist community, even if those priors do not in any way align with reality.

Y'all see some weird shite when y'all be looking at the movies. Like I bet you be watching star wars and interrupt the show shouting "I see captain Kirk's nipples. They would never do that to a black man."

Several articles out that fly in the face of your OP.

Schwartz also disagrees with the show’s decision to portray the police officers investigating the case as homophobic and racially biased, dismissing the choice as an unfair treatment of people she spent considerable amounts of time with.
“I’ve spent a lot of time with them, interviewing the people who were at the scene,” she said. “Again this is a dramatisation, but at a time when it is not exactly easy for law enforcement to get trust and buy in from the community, it’s not a very helpful representation

the making of Jessie Jackson as a hero/saint in that documentary did bother me a bit. The man is a classic race baiting grifter and this is widely known.

The show is pretty damn accurate.
On what level? Certainly not on the racist cop angle. Go read their statements. Netflix shite on white people in this series with made up crap.
Evan Peters knocked that shite out of the park. That's the only reason I finished it.

You only kill the ones you love, right?

They didnt exactly show them as racist. They just ignored what all the other residents (who were black) of the apartment were telling them when the 14yo got away.. which actually happened

The whole series seemed to be an indictment of white people and police officers because the victims were gay and/or black and the killer was an awkward white male. Every episode kept hitting this. Even Jesse Jackson was in the show. Should the police be blamed for what happened? Not wanting to get between Dahmer and his 'boyfriend' when he said he was just drunk and they let him lead the kid back into the apartment?
Jesse Jackson was in it because… Jesse Jackson was a part of the aftermath. It was a part of the story.
And I never felt blamed as a white male but certainly can buy that police were less eager to jump into intervening in gay relationships or worry about gay black victims of crime in that era.
If not looking to be a victim it’s a pretty mild indictment of urban policing decades ago. Doesn’t have to be about you.

Some of you are missing the point here. It's nothing to do with damer and his victims. It's the police not listening to people of color or not giving a shite about gay people of color enough to do proper investigation. Damer was not in any way racist and that was made clear in the show. That's what they were trying to portray.

Yeah, I was just pointing that out because the series made it seem like this woman was living right on side of him hearing him kill people and smelling parts of dead people.
But like I said, I think there is a reason he picked the spot where he lived and I gave an example with how the crack epidemic started. So frick you.

We clearly do see the point., I just think its obnoxious that they told Dahmer's story through a race and sexuality angle when it clearly wasn't. It's a I Hate Whitey Production

You'll never win with leftists.
If police demanded ID of the kid and this was a regular non-issue stop (not a serial killer) the left would claim it's racist or picking on gays to demand ID before allowing them to leave.
This is the left's game plan. Whitey and the police are always wrong. No exception.

There was no racism involved in his murder. If you watched the series you’d know this.

He liked gay black dudes. There is nothing racist about that part obviously, but IMO I do think there was a reason he picked where he lived other than it being really cheap.
Do you think he would have been able to get away with what he was doing in a more upscale apartment?
In the late 80s and early 90s there wasn't much love for the gays and police was more likely to not react to something in a black area the same as if it was in a white area.
If that 14 year old kid was white do you think the police would have been so quick to just let him go back with Dahmer? That I don't know. If they would have it was because he was gay. This is just how it was.
