Have come upon 3 major accidents at that intersection by the gas station in the past month, at least 2 had ambulance called. I think it might be those coming from Jones Creek way turning left from Tiger Bend onto Jefferson as I think they can turn on green, not just arrow. If so they should make that turn on arrow only. Be careful if going through that light.

People are idiots and run the light all the time. They also make that left on green all the time with barely room to spare. See it almost everyday.

To make it worse, the people turning right at the station from Jefferson have a yield sign. Some yield and some don't.

So someone making the left on green combined with someone not yielding means someone going straight is gonna hit someone.

We witnessed one in September 1989 there on my way to school on morning. It was scary as we were almost hit head on by an out of control truck.

Hope that helps.

I saw the one from about 2 weeks ago. I could not figure out how it happened.

Sorry bro, but the OT doesn't make it all the way out to Jones Creek or Tiger Bend. Everyone knows that.

It gets pretty tricky there in the afternoons. All those crazy high school kids come flying down that way

Yep... had one this morning. I’m there everyday and it’s a shite show. People coming from Jones creek doing 55-60mph and running the light. If I’m turning left off of Jefferson and I’m in the front I’m waiting for those frickers to be coming to a stop from both ways.

If you want to witness the most blatant red light running/easing into the middle of the road on yellow mother frickers on BR just mosey on over to the intersection of old Perkins and highland. The lights are real short and they just don’t give a frick. See 3-4 cars going when it’s red....

The light at Airline & Stumberg extension is short for people crossing Airline and lots of vehicles run that light daily.

Also, a lot BR drivers still can't grasp that circle on the Stumberg extension and still think yield means come to a complete stop.

I've seen this as well every time at that intersection

About 2 weeks ago I had to go around 4 cars right in front of the gas station that had rear ended each other. Shock and disbelief that all the drivers were young girls with phones in their hands....I'm sure they were all attentive to their driving prior to the accident!

shite, running red lights is pretty much a staple of Perkins Road. Traffic gets proper fricked at Essen and Bluebonnet because dipshits just drive into the intersection when it's already backed up, so nobody can move in any direction for entire light cycles. I've often considered keeping old used up AA batteries in my cup holder to fire off at those assholes.

Yep...see this all the time there! A cop could meet his ticket quota really quick there and head to the donut shop early!

Yup... my office is out here and I get on the road a bit... see that shite everyday too!

They turn left from highland onto old Perkins and look at you funny when you are 4” from their passenger door.... and your light has been green for the past 3 cars that have turned..

At what point do the residents of Baton Rouge stop blaming poor infrastructure and accept they're all idiots?

I've noticed that at that location, too. I think part of the problem is there is no delay there when the lights change. At most intersections when a light turns red, the other doesn't turn green until one or two seconds later but at that intersection they both change at the same time.
