support this but Arizona isn't Louisiana. Bringing this here might be chaos with our population.
It's going to cause chaos in Arizona. This past school year around 25-30% of teaching positions were unfilled during February, and half of the positions that were filled had uncertified teachers in the positions.
Private and charter schools in AZ pay less overall and don't pay into the retirement system, so if a ton of new students do go to them then they won't have the teachers to fill the positions. Most teachers I know are barely hanging in the profession as is, they certainly won't take a pay cut or lose their retirement to stay in it. Particularly in science and math, where we have degrees that are a bit more portable to other professions. It's going to be a shitshow most likely.
But given that the main state politicians that pushed these bills through are owners of charter schools, doubt they care too much.
One thing I'm curious about is if the money per student will be equal for all, because public schools are forced to take students with disabilities, and they cost a relative fortune compared to a normal student.

The good thing about the federal system is that individual states like Arizona and likely some others can implement this and actual results can be monitored to see if it works, what parts work, ant unforseen consequences,
etc. Then the remaining states can make more informed choices.

Whare does it come from?
A “bond” will be brought forth and passed. To be specific, the money will come from the taxpayers.

If they let things play out how they should, the best teachers will work at public schools and that will make the charter/private schools increase compensation to attract better teachers. The freedom of choice should make everything better for everyone unless the government steps in to save everyone from themselves.

There will be a massive segregation in the school system.
All white and all black schools are are to show up in Arizona

Why is that not happening at College/Universities all across the country?

Great. Free shite for some to go to private schools that currently have parents that pay full tuition for their kids to attend.
I don’t think you know what that word means.
FS is like giving poor people cell phones, healthcare to those that do not pay taxes, food stamps to poor, huge tax breaks to corporations to lure them to build in your state.
Some of these things are good and some are terrible.
FS is “not” allowing a property owner who is paying tens of thousands of dollars for education, to choose where they would like to spend it.

That sounds like it's already a shitshow.

Kentucky is looking into this, and as a society as we continue to move left and further the destruction of family's and family values, I hope they pass legislation for parents to have a choice.

This is one of the most significant reforms a state has EVER made to k-12 education
Sounds separate but equal, if you assume that each family contributed equally to the tax dollars that are used to fund state education. This is a move away from communism, hopefully other states follow. This would not happen if the Supreme Court was not conservative at the moment.

Do you really think that just because someone votes for a certain candidate that have to support everything that person is supports?
That's kinda like saying "I don't support what the Nazis do, but I really like their uniforms and synchronized marching".....

They don't pay the equivalent of a private tuition in 10 years worth of property taxes in all likelihood. Now, consider those that have 2 or more kids and this is quite the handout. Redistribution of wealth, actually.

That’s an absurd take.
Clearly not everyone will pay the equivalent value of private school education in taxes, but that doesn’t happen now.
It will result in less redistribution of wealth than what occurs now.

I understand most people will be upset by what I say and will perform mental gymnastics to avoid the fact that they are in fact supportive of a handout that allows them to obtain a good they haven't paid for. Sorry, truth hurts. You don't pay anywhere near the amount in taxes to cover the tuition of one kid, much less two or more, to go to private schools.
Are you illiterate?
Posted on 7/8/22 at 7:47 am to Antonio Moss
Nope. I simply don't support handouts.
