Apparently a significant portion of the OT population also knows a completely health person under the age of 40 who caught COVID and has died in the last few weeks.

I don't know a single person who has been hospitalized from covid. I do know several who have had it. All said same thing, felt tired and like they had a cold.

If it is forced upon people IMO they should be able to sue the government entity that mandated it

The problem: the taxpayers will have to pay the damages. Better would be to allow the bureaucrats to be personally sued and liable for the damages

for an essentially risk free virus? why is one risk free enough for you and the other isnt?

frick JBE, but just because you had it doesn’t mean you are immune.

...and just because you had the shot doesn't mean you are immune. What's your point!

Do you complain about the many other vaccines we take?

I'm damn near 40yrs old and I've never been asked about a vaccine in my adult life, much less had to worry if I could get a job.

Nearly ever vaccine I've ever gotten was administered when I was too young to have a voice. I think most Americans fall into this category.

IF WE LOSE MEDICAL SOVEREIGNTY, WHAT DO WE HAVE?

I assume you believe that the government should mandate MMR boosters? Have you gotten yours?
I have gotten my booster, because my place of employment requires it

Don’t remember you Patriots up in arms for my evil company requiring the vaccine and the boosters

The legislature has NO PLANS to attempt to fight JBE over this. This is 100% confirmed from a legislator.

Well as a citizen of Louisiana that is disheartening. I mean these people see what can get done in states like Florida and Texas when the GOP raises its power and uses the majority.

It would be one thing if we knew the mask mandate was the end of it. However, we know based on his rhetoric that the day that this vaccine is fully approved by the FDA that mandates of vaccination are coming. I'm assuming they will sit back and take that up the arse (literally) as well.

Vaccine bros, please post the literature where they have isolated the strains of original COVID and Delta. Once we see the literature on the isolation, we can debate mandatory vaccinations.

I'm sorry for not closely following the place you work. Where is that again? I'll be happy to support your right to choose what vaccines you get.

You realize most adults walking around have no immunity to mumps anymore? The only reason the adults don’t catch it is because children are continually getting vaccinated and not reintroducing it

It is blamed as a potential contributing factor but you conviently leave out additional information that may have contributed to some outbreaks.

quote:

Multiple factors have been proposed for resurgence of mumps, including secondary vaccine failure due to waning of vaccine-induced immunity, increased susceptibility due to lack of natural boosting from circulating wild-type mumps virus, lower mumps vaccine effectiveness (85 to 90%) compared with measles and rubella vaccine, high-density settings that favor intense exposure, and the evolution of wild-type virus strains (11, 16). The predominant circulating wild-type strain responsible for outbreaks in the United States is genotype G, which is phylogenetically distinct from the Jeryl Lynn (JL) vaccine strain (genotype A) (5, 6, 17???????–25).

And just like before with other vaccines, there will be certain things and places off limits to you

I've never been asked for immunization records in my entire adult life. I've travelled out of the country, gone to sporting events, attended college, flown on a plane, gone to a restaurant, been treated at the hospital, worked for a government contractor, etc. All things that I may potentially NOT be able to do if I and my doctor decide that obtaining natural immunity is in my own personal health's best interest.

What will be the reasoning for people not getting it once fda clears it?

This is the main reason for my own hesitation. I’m sure the narrative will shift to say that it wasn’t approved the right way.

sigh, so dramatic.

i’m not going to ever be up in arms about a private company mandating anything. you have the choice to find alternative employment. but that’s not the argument here. where do you draw the line in regards to the federal or state government mandating vaccines? as i asked you very specifically earlier in this thread.

Once this reaches full FDA approval,

in the past, generally how long would this process of FDA medicine approval take?

PS This is not meant to brag about Trump and the speed of these "vaccines".

The principle of who gets to decide what ultimately gets injected in one's body is the real issue.

This.

Democrats fight lethal injections for death row inmates tooth and nail, but on the other hand want to inject the general population with a Russian Roulette type vaccine where some are sure to die from it.

This mandate would be unprecedented and is very slippery slope to be on.

For the record, my whole family has been vaccinated. I just believe in freedom and personal choice.

I'm just curious what about a rubber stamp from an agency with as horrid of a history as the FDA has makes the vaccine bad on a Friday but good the next Monday?

For people who have had the virus. Mandating them to take the vaccine breaks the oath…”do no harm”.
