Where? On social media? This site? The parents are going to be furious, but not ACTUALLY do anything but follow the "law" because (unfortunately in this situation) that's what law abiding citizens do

So what? Wake me up when those officials actually do something rather than pen "strongly" worded letters and Facebook post.
He could announce today that the state is restarting the plan implemented in April and while there would be bitching, complaining, anger, etc, the vast majority of people/businesses would just comply.

That's the problem. The stupid politicians are already working on more programs to keep giving out money.
The people commenting on those articles are generally government tit suckers and they are more than happy to sit home on their asses all day.

That's still our plan at my son's private high school. It's not the end of the world if they change their mind to go virtual for for a while since the transition to virtual was seamless in the spring.
I feel horrible for working parents with younger kids and I think the mental health of this crap is horrible for kids. They need to be back in school around their peers and they need to be doing after school activities.
