Some idiot on the press pool just asked ‘what about employers who won’t let employees stay home if they’re sick?’ She claimed she’s been ‘hearing a lot about this’ . WTF?

I’m calling bullshite.

Employers and business owners are bad. That’s the lesson here.

Not sure why you’re responding to me

He isn’t going to “go back to phase 1”
He may limit specific industries like bars or limit crowd size but he isn’t going to officially revert to phase 1
There is no reason to & there was no reason to extend phase 2 today since it expires 8/7
That decision will be made & announced next week

Happened all the time before Covid 19.

Why would it be any different now?

JBE is lying when he said most if not all of the positive cases are people showing symptoms. That’s simply not true while studies and centers are still ongoing testing healthy people. That was my point.

It's the most important point.

Hello

I had to get tested last week to return to work. Went to the Ochsner urgent care on Carrolton and Canal. They won't do asymptomatic tests there (they did mine since it was set up through my employer though) but did have a different location to go to for that. Not sure if it was another Ochsner facility.

At the beginning of the ordeal
I think it was in reference to staying home, not going to Home Depot / WalMart unless it was a necessity

So read this post by JBE. So we shut down businesses and keep people at home. Some have permanently closed their doors. Borrow money and give it to the unemployed. Then when that runs low we will tax more businesses, some who are just hanging on by a thread, to pay people to keep staying home.

I’m feel like I’m taking fricking crazy pills

That quote sounds like it would be said by the main villain of V for Vendetta or some other dystopian movie

What world are we even living in? Do you think this dude feels even one ounce of remorse for driving so many out of business?

When JBE plugs the budget deficit with federal money that's when.

This was the craziest thing too. It was all said nonchalant like “when the trust gets low, it’s automatically triggered” I guarantee most business owners Don’t realize that’s coming.

I mean, % positive has been trending down over the past 2 weeks. Meanwhile we are averaging 23,000 tests a day in the same time frame. If JBE is correct and we are running more tests, with a lower % positive, AND we are not testing as many asymptomatic people.. that should be a great sign.

Hell no
He doesn’t give a shite about us

He sealed a bunch of future campaign donations from the gambling industry by allowing casinos to open at a higher capacity & from the nursing home owners for keeping state surprise visits & families out

He has done nothing to stand up for small businesses

He hasn’t done much for large businesses

He is going to let unemployment kill what’s left of small businesses
