Coming from the guy who is convinced Oschner is padding numbers by trying to load more black citizens in.
The article basically admits as much. They’re setting up shop in north BR and they requested Gallo to write an article for more to come out. Didnt matter that they AA percentage was already representative of the area.

He just said we increased testing also the most per capita so whoever called him out on not mentioning that, he finally did

This just in: Extraterrestrials are laughing at humanity for letting a little minor virus destroy our businesses, livelihoods, sports, and education system.
Meanwhile schools are not closed in China and they will continue to educate their youth.

You realize the study is published and your bullshite will be proven wrong.
I'm sure then Oschner will just be hiding the numbers.

Goodness. I am just now able to get on the press conference and he is talking about testing. I swear all the man wants to do is test.

Edwards just said that only people who are sick or come into contact with COVID positive people should be tested. That’s different than what he had been saying right?

Not anymore. Now he also wants people to rat out their neighbors like it's Germany in the 1940s.

quote:Here is what you “literally” said:
I literally said the community testing sites still do limited testing for asymptomatic people
“We, as in Ochsner, stopped testing asymptomatic people weeks ago, and we are the largest system in the state”
You also said:
“Thats antibody testing hoss”
Both statements. Literally. Are false.
Ochsner still has active studies requesting volunteers regardless of health as long as they say they don’t have a positive test in their past. Ochsner is testing for both the virus and antibodies.
You can argue all you want. What you said was not what’s happening.

Ok, let's take the Ochsner system out of this for a moment. On Saturday, there was an event at Southern that exchanged free testing for food boxes. You don't think people got tests without symptoms there?
WAFB Article
Or all of the fed sites, where they explicitly state you don't need symptoms to be tested?
I'm sure the Urgent Care locations aren't handing out tests like candy to conserve supply, but for him to say "no asymptomatic people are being tested" is absurd

Individuals who do not have symptoms but who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 can also be tested. However, such a person should wait a few days to be tested from when they were exposed. In addition, anyone who is worried about possibly having the virus can be tested. You do not need to be a resident of East Baton Rouge Parish.

Yep. All these aholes working their comfortable government jobs don't give two shits about mom and pop.
I wish that was the extent of it. I guarantee most have friends, families, or associates that own businesses, and they selectively flex their muscles.

here is what i had to say on the subject
quote:And thats directly printed across our website and directly from our CEOs mouth
We, as in Ochsner, stopped testing asymptomatic people weeks ago, and we are the largest system in the state
Only places I know of testing asymptomatic people as of last week was a few community sites that had limited tests per day
Urgent cares and other systems in our area all stopped asymptomatic testing, as we are running low on the reacting agent needed, we still have plenty of swabs
The rampant asymptomatic testing halted because we ran out of reacting agent
And in truth, that caused the spike in percent positive more than anything, but JBE wont mention that........

That's not what my in-laws doctor said -- sis in law tested positive after they had all been vacationing for a week/traveling in a car for 6 hours together. They called the doc and he said to quarantine for 4-7 days -- I suggested they do it for 10 just given that it didn't seem long enough. They're fine and today was day 11 -- sister in law is good as well.

Who is that and why is it relevant?
Btw, of the 2500+ people they tested, the majority that tested positive at all were positive for the virus. About 5%. Positive antibodies only came back once or twice per day during the study. Nearly all were asymptomatic. A few people got caught trying to be in the study having already tested positive. There was no way for Ochsner to verify that on site.

Thanks for this Beam. Scrolling to the bottom with the state graphs, notice a trend of these spikes seeming to occur at the end of May and then dropping at the end of June/beginning of July.
Wonder what was happening at this time in most all of these states? Must have all jammed into bars all at once.
