People are going to drink in large groups. You can make whatever rules you want to tell them they can’t but they are. Additionally what’s the difference in a restaurant serving alcohol and a bar....nothing. Restaurant bars were packed when the last bar rule was In place. These silly rules do nothing for public health they just make people feel better about public health.

idk why we just don't lock up old geezers and let everyone else live, know what I mean dude? seem like the best plan

if you're over 65 just stay inside and order Postmates and instacart for groceries. very simple

may not technically go back to phase 1 (even though I think it's likely at some point), but he'll implement restrictions that pretty much reflect phase 1. Really one in the same. Bars are about to get fricked. Mask mandate is becoming more likely even though he's been hesitant to do it statewide (while applauding mayors who implement it locally).

This is exactly what will happen. It will
He called phase 2 but will be neutered down to basically phase 1 levels

I made a comment in front of my father in law that I thought if a business wanted to stay open and the employees wanted to work and if they had customers/clients that wanted to go, then they should have been able to be open.

I got the dirtiest look and "well, it doesn't matter as they're open now" (this was when phase 2 started).

It's not hard -- open if you want/if you have employees who want to work/go as a customer if you want to go. Dear Lord.

No but I know that our hospitals were able to handle things before a pandemic hit and then got over run.

Where? Where were they overrun?

Hospitals in Slidell and others around the north shore
New Orleans had a least two that were overrun- Teuro and LSU hospital had major issues

Today, hospitals in Lafayette are at all time highs for covid cases, many of which are under 40 years old. Those are beds that are typically available for elderly or other patients.

Unless he's talking about legalizing weed or sports gambling, I don't give a mother fricking frick about what the man has to say. Done with him.

I love how some black city council guy wanted Lafayette to force masks, and Josh Guillory said it’s not necessary or happening, and he’s not taking anyone’s liberties unless he has to.
