I will guess mandatory mask as well

I was critical of SWB’s mandate along with many here but I have to admit it’s been very effective.

You think he will shut down casinos after they paid him off to let them open at greater capacity than everyone else?

And the whole limited capacity is bullshite, except for restaurants. I've had to stand in a line once, for 3 minutes. Capacity is set off of the fire code capacity. Take your average Walmart. It has a huge capacity in regards to code. On a normal day without Covid, the average Walmart likely never gets close to 50% capacity. Now, they can "only" operate at 50% capacity. Well, essentially, that is the same as it always is for them. They just get to pay someone to count people.

Restaurants is what that order hurts the most. Smaller places that already operate on slim margins and must turn over all of their tables to be profitable. We haven't even begun to see the damage done to restaurants across the country.

I would imagine with the judge overturning the mayors mandatory masks order in Shreveport he’s going to implement one state wide so these dem mayors can save face.

That’s what I’m thinking
Central & Zachary immediately & publicly told SWB to piss off
The Shreveport deal has to piss him off
This way no one can refuse the mandate

Can't parish police departments say they won't enforce it?

It’s all about freedom. I’m not a right wing conspiracy theorist saying this shite is all a hoax and agree that people should wear masks. But to force the shite down everyone’s throat and make it mandatory to function in society is just insane.

And punishing businesses for customers choosing not to wear one is even worse than that.

If you are reliant upon citizens to enforce a law, it is likely not a very good law.

Agreed, I am so glad she took the time to show us how to properly wear them

So a judge in Shreveport can overturn it there, but a statewide order can't be overturned by a judge?

Come on, man.

I expected more of a military officer who was in the 82nd airborne. I bet he led from the rear and called retreat on first contact.

Yes but Mayors cannot refuse the order & they are the boss of the police chief
You may have some R mayors that will not force police to enforce but now they can’t do like Central & Zachary with an official letter on city letterhead saying that’s what they are going to do

ETA
It’s pretty stupid to make police enforce when they are supposed to social distance
I don’t think majority of cops will enforce unless forced by mayors

We had some of the highest numbers in the state this week. Now imagine if we didn’t have the mandate.

The main numbers people follow is hospitalizations. That number isn’t altered by number of tests done. Regardless, I figured we would have a July 4th bump.

Deaths, hospitalizations nor vents are anywhere near April levels.

And since we don't know the condition of hospitalizations, but can assume the condition of those on vents, and definitely those that have died, why would anyone follow hospitalizations more than the other 2? Those aren't changed by test numbers either, and are a more definitive measure of the severity of the situation.

Supposedly teatment has adjusted away from vent usage.

Monitoring hospitalizations is being used as an early indicator to problems. It is a point of debate whether that is true or not.
