What do you think “back to normal life” will look like in a month?

He’s a Democrat. All the democrat governors are going to extend it as long as possible as it’s their only hope to beat trump.
I have no political party, but anyone with eyes can see this ploy a mile away.

I can’t believe Most aspects of our lives are basically under the control of these mental midgets.
When people say we shouldn’t give the government control over things, this is the reason why.

He is 100% not making the decision on his own. If Republican states start opening up and the virus numbers stay like they are, the pressure will come down from the White House to open up. It’s how to open up that will be the biggest question mark. I’d rather states with better leadership go first and lay out the blueprint so we don’t have the JBE’s, LaToya’s and the Whitmer’s of the world pioneering the come back.

excellent retort. the intelligence behind your post history is a beacon of hope for the OT.
What’s your proposed plan for Louisiana?

New Orleans is so screwed. There was going to be no business travel or tourism until the fall anyway and if they start cancelling everything in the fall, might as well just throw in the towel. There is no way the feds can float all of the small businesses here for that long. ..
yet, you’re advocating here to just keep it all closed indefinitely. mmmkay. so you just want doom and gloom?

Until a vaccine is readily available, large gatherings aren’t happening. And they shouldn’t. Yes, it’s sort of under control right now but look at all of the measure in place? I don’t like them either but they are helping.

Very true. JBE has been relying heavily on Trump and Trump's advisors for guidance all along. Steve Scalise was present for and spoke at today's press conference. The committee appointed to look at reopening the government has plenty of Republican appointees. Aside from the mouth breathing Politards around here, everyone else gets that the reopening will not be politically motivated.

That's an interesting perspective considering our overwhelmingly Republican State Legislature can shut down his Emergency declaration whenever they want.

I don’t disagree with that.
Concerts, ballgames, conferences, parades, etc should all hold off for at least a couple of months. And folks over 65 and folks who have the preexisting conditions that are statistically more effected by COVID19 should limit their public exposure.
But everyone else stay home until June? frick no.

This is the time for feelings. Not facts.
