Tonight the NBC news showed a still shot from a security camera video of the muzzle flash when the perp fired a shot from his car while being chased by the cops. The Akron cop that gave the presser said once the perp fired from the car it changed the whole situation.

The also had a still image of the perp exiting from the vehicle wearing a black ski mask and looked to be running.

Chief Steve Mylett said officers attempted to stop Walker's car early Monday for unspecified traffic and equipment violations, but less than a minute into a pursuit the sound of a shot was heard from the car and a transportation department camera captured what appeared to be a muzzle flash coming from the vehicle. Mylett said that changed the nature of the case from "a routine traffic stop to now a public safety issue."

If officers were approaching your vehicle and you discharge a pistol into the floor board, there is a huge chance the situation is gonna go badly for you.

Did they address what would have happened if he had not fired a weapon while running from the po-po, and just pulled over, and sat there quietly with his hands on the wheel? Sometimes, it may be helpful to just take your ticket, and go on home.

Jayland Walker had every opportunity to obey police commands, and would be alive had he pulled over and complied.

But no.. he fired a weapon in his vehicle (or out of the vehicle) while in police pursuit.

Then gets out and takes off with a ski mask on. Then turns toward the cops while running.

Pretty open and shut if you ask me.
