A GROUP OF Japanese scientists has successfully filmed plants communicating and warning others about potential dangers in real-time, making a breakthrough in an observation first documented in the early 1980s.

Pouring one out for the vegans who will now starve to death after they realize they can't eat plants either.

When will PETP (People for the Ethical Treatment of Plants) start picketing vegans?

It wouldn't surprise me if true. Plants are living things that participate in cell regeneration just like the rest of us.

If trees could scream we wouldn't be so cavalier about cutting them down.

We'd cut them down enthusiastically to shut them up.

Sidebar: is it gay to appreciate roses as a man?

I kinda really fell for my rose bushes over the summer. I had to give them extra attention due to the unique drought and heat. But watching them bounce back and how they always rebound after freezes is always cool.

Get the book Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake and have your mind blown by the world of fungi.

Seriously, it is a very good read.

They can still eat fruit. With fruit, the plant is communicating to animals to eat it, which will help disperse seeds.

There is unrest in the forest, trouble with the trees.
