Amazingly pro- American, America is big brother. But they are smart enough to see that we are in rapid cultural decline . Whereas they viewed us as wise, benevolent and with the worlds single greatest political system (1946 - 2001 or so) they now see us as just another powerful Western country gripped by self-loathing and bent on self- destruction.
And yes -any fit and personable white American can have almost unlimited sex in Japan if that's his goal. Everybody wants a little " strange" and you are the strange . And the vast majority of Japanese guys are unassertive and disinterested. They girls will sex you, but marry them. Which seems fair.

As already stated Japan has a homogeneous society. However, a homogeneous society alone does not a peaceful country make (see the middle east). Japan happens to have a culture that places great importance on duty and honor.
Eugenics was obviously grossly perverted by the Nazis, but it asinine to think that all societies are equal. No one with any intellectual honesty can argue that all societies have and do contribute equally to human existence.
Obviously, just because a certain culture is different from ours doesn't automatically make them inferior. However, all cultures sure as hell shouldn't be considered equal.

Both the homes I lived in had guns . My understanding is they had " hunt club" permits ( wild boars) and could own a rifle.

I didn't realize I had write a dissertation to explain that Japan does not have a diverse society which is lacking many of the statistically more violent demographics present in other countries.

That is one of many factors in their absurdly low reported crime rate. Trying to replicate the same policies there, and doing them over here (like mass gun restriction), will not lead to the same results.

The ME countries that actually are homogenous tend to do a lot better. A lot of the conflict is because of a lack of homogenity inside borders - they may look like Akbar to all of us, but trust me, they think of themselves as very, very different, whether for ethnic or sectarian reasons.

I would suggest that if you want to replicate "Japan in America " you can. Either be super- affluent and live in a wealthy enclave or find a small town somewhere with a 99% white / East Asian population and move there. I think there were maybe one or two gun homicides in the decade I spent in Boulder. You can move to small town Iowa or North Dakota or make some cash and move to Beverly Hills and insulate yourself if you really want to. But if you live anywhere near black Americans, you will have to accept the gun carnage.
