I feel dramatic saying it, but how do you have a massive event like the Sugar Bowl that close to where a terrorist attack occurred less than 24 hours before and draw a bunch of crowds into the streets? How do we know there’s not an accomplice there waiting for the one-two punch??

What gave that away?
The fricking ISIS flag on the truck?

Like most of America's problems, there is a solution. We, as a society , just choose not to use it.

Everyone jumped to southern border because it fits their political narrative and it’s easy to say Trump will fix it so it won’t happen again.
As if we haven’t had a million terrorist/mass killing events in this country by citizens or legal residents or people here “legally.” Everyone of the 9/11 perpetrators was here legally. Boston Marathon guys were citizens. Orlando night club shooting was a citizen. It’s not hard to enter the country legally to commit a terrorist attack or find legal residents who are down to do it.
Maybe this guy came through the southern border or maybe he didn’t, all the actual evidence shows is the car he rented came through the border two days ago. Easily could’ve just rented it from someone with legitimate business in Mexico. But regardless terrorist attacks have been happening for decades in the U.S. and most of them have very little ties to an open southern border

I know they're saying the game will be played, but I would be surprised if it is.

ISIS has been considerably weakened and isn’t as big a player as they were.
I really wonder if Iran is involved here. The rebels who took Syria are anti-Iranian and toppled a major ally in Assad and a major proxy group in Hezbollah. The leader of the rebels had former ties to Al Queda/ISIS but is now vowing to create a far more tolerant government in Syria. This will require Western support.
How comfortable will the West be in helping these rebels out in fending off Iranian proxies/extremists after his former group just runs into a crowd in NOLA?
Timing is very interesting.

There were reports of accomplices from a NOLA councilman or some similar position earlier in the thread.

Over/under on how many ISIS operatives have walked over the border in the past four years then spread out to every corner of the country?
Few dozen?
Few hundred?
Few thousand?
More?

I’d be shocked if it isn’t played. It should be played.

They’re not canceling a major event like that unless there is a severe threat. And if there was one you’ll find out at the presser or it would’ve already been alerted to stay at home. That hasn’t been the case so far. They’re not going to lose the money by canceling.

But why time it for hours after the attack? Figure that’s how long it takes authorities to track you and hope it blows while they’re there.
Exactly. There is no way only one person carried this out. If the rumor about there being multiple IEDs in the quarter is true there’s no way he’s the only one who placed them. He may have wanted them to blow up after the attack when emergency crews came to the area or they never blew up so he pivoted to driving through the crowd. Even if he didn’t originally come across border he was clearly going over there to make plans or get supplies. This will be a wild story as it unfolds

The Eagle Pass stuff seems to be misinformation at this time. That's a long drive to New Orleans in an EV that would have to be charged 2-3 times along the way.
That’s like a 9 hour drive. The dude wasn’t stopping at Bucees to get beaver nuggets or Lake Charles to play slots. He was on a mission

There’s not a company on earth taking that big of a loss hours before it starts.
