We went in December — needed a get away after our son’s wedding and we planned to go to our high schools football championship game.
I was impressed .. with the cleanliness and police presence. We went down bourbon and it wasn’t what I remembered. It was rather quiet but it was a random Wednesday night.
We planned to go back for our anniversary — Tab Benoit is playing at Tipitina’s and we wanted to go back to DDay museum (hadn’t been in 15 years).
I’m not really worried about going back .. I think it’d be eerie though.

Listen to the interview. It'll explain everything. She also wasn't an "asset", she worked for them.
Everyone needs to listen to that interview and even if it's only half true, there's a lot of other good history in it.

I’m not saying it couldn’t be a plan as an abstract. Though will say that leaving an unmanned car there is not ideal.
I’m saying that it is not the practice in place here nor is there manpower for it in New Orleans.
I’ll point towards the officer that quit mid shift in a Friday night when there were just 35 officers covering the entire city.
When you are incredibly short staffed, infrastructure matters even more.

If you know the past history of Bourbon street, and the French Quarter in general, you'll know that there has been CRAZY stuff that has happened there over the years. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
