I'm sure this made sense in your head. Whatever, yall have fun with the newest version of the Patriot Act and useless TSA measures that will totally keep this from ever happening again.

Bollards =/= Patriot Act

I know the law. Immunity is not set in stone as he infers.

Louisiana does not have immunity for personal injury caused by the city, for instance.

Contrarians like LNCHBOX will argue that they'll just find somewhere else to do it, however, there were plenty of streets not "blocked" by a police car that night and this guy still chose one that was a bit harder to access.

I think he chose to turn down that street because that is where is IED's were planted.

I can only imagine how pissed Landry was after the roasting of him yesterday. It’s bad when Latoya and a woman reading a statement speak better than the governor.

Sorry for questioning solutions that wouldn't actually do anything other than do something for the sake of doing something.

Except it would’ve done something. We all want to live in a world where we don’t have to live with shite like this.

You think we should simply ignore it, and people disagree. I’m coming from a perspective of if you can prevent a car bomb or a truck from entering a pedestrian zone or ramming into a building, you do it. Then you can better utilize your boots on the ground.

Yes, 6-8 extra bollards is akin to the patriot act

You are super smart and very edgy

The fact that they have measures in place that were not functioning is problematic for the city because those are not just for criminal issues.

Under what statute would you sue the city if they don't do anything and another terrorist attack happen next month?

He's not doing any better right now. "I worked in a jail, I know!" Really?

Maybe, maybe not.
You gotta be somewhat concerned with other nut job copy cats. In NO, or anywhere else for that matter. Are barriers there now?

But I’d have a hard time getting my drink on walking that street today in any case.

Does anyone know if he had been to New Orleans previously, if not yes, others were involved, others living in New Orleans were involved.

Any thing else from Ford about there tweets?

I hope Kennedy tells all in the next few days.

Lastly, does anyone know the religion or views of the fbi lady who initially said it was not terrorism ? Also how many Muslim extremist have been brought into the FBI since Obama first came into office?

So no more Mardi Gras. No more tailgates for Saints games. Gotta prevent an attack, right?

Don’t think they were posted to Facebook. I would bet they will surface or be released in the near future.

Well the FBI just specifically said they were posted on Facebook and gave timestamps.

Especially when it's a world famous street that is frequently packed with inebriated people.

It's not even about preventing someone from running over 15 people like we see here, what if someone tries to do this when the streets are packed?

You could see a death toll much higher.
