Relax. There's a reasonable explanation for why there is no longer a lunar rover on the moon.

And here I sit thinking zeroing in my scope is a tedious process.

It's one of the most amazing engineering and construction achievements in human history to this point, and that's not hyperbole. To put it in perspective how awesome this machine is, it would be equivalent of you being able to see a kids nightlight burning at 1/5 it's normal output on the surface of the moon.

I saw some astrophysicist youtube vid that said the launch was so perfect and a lot less fuel was used that it will add an additional 10 years to the life of the mission.

Incredible

Under promise, Over deliver. If we really paid 10 billion for a 10 year mission, I'd be pissed. I'm sure this was expected.

I can’t wait to see the stuff it starts discovering. This is the kind of stuff NASA needs to be focusing on.

They aren't saying what the first pic will be, other than it will have WOW factor.

Anyone care to guess? I predict it will include an extrasolar planet. Old galaxies don't look much different than the ones we've seen, so that's not likely to look so cool.

It really is. I didn’t think NASA could pull it off for a long time. I just wonder how many times they thought about junking the project. It’s such an incredibly complex machine.

There are even bigger scopes in the planning stages. I’m sure the success of Webb will insure funding for them. Rightfully so.

That's not even controversial. Birds aren't real and they sit on power lines to recharge.
