My mom always liked Ivory soap because it was pure and natural. It didn’t have artificial dyes and chemicals in it.

No. Ivory is the one that floats. I know because when I was a kid in the 70s and still took baths, I’d pretend the Ivory bar was an enemy ship that I had to sink. But when mom bought Irish Spring it sucked because it wouldn’t float.

Doesn't feel the same, smell the same, or even float anymore. It's just like some other generic bar of soap.
. Yep. I noticed the same thing and quit buying it.

By the time you unwrap it and walk across the bathroom to put it in the shower it's shrunk to 50% of its original size.

Ivory soap is actually terrible. It once left me so uncomfortably dry I had to use my wife’s moisturizing lotion afterwards

I only use ivory, and the whole reason is because I like feeling dry.
Can’t stand feeling all oily after a shower.

Even Irish Spring isn't the same as it was a long time ago.

It changed back in the 80’s or 90’s. It used to be more white with green striping and stronger scent. The OG at the store smells right, just not as strong.

My go-to in the 80s/90s. Ivory was just too plain, I never felt fully clean.

It floated because it was filled with air and contained less soap.

My grandparents used Ivory too. I preferred Safeguard but my grandfather said it made him break out in a rash.

Same at Lake of the Ozarks. Bathrooms get jammed up? Lake bath!
