I've been driving with a suspended license for about 8 years...until now

Downvote me all you want....or call it irresponsible. So what.
Finally was able to stop procrastinating and settle a debt for accrued parking tickets that amounted to $3700, and settled for $1200.
Never got pulled over for a moving violation. Got stopped twice by plain car detectives, and that was because I had other people in the car, but they let me go anyway because they were drug/gang unit cops.
Anyway, it's a load off my shoulders.

I’ve had a warrant for my arrest in the state of TX for an unpaid speeding ticket since 2008. I’m about to move to TX next month.
I probably should at least make a phone call about this.

What state are you in that suspends your DL for parking tickets?

Now you can drink and drive without feeling nervous.

Let’s talk about this

Who do you hangout with?
What sorta ghetto sled do you drive?
These are the questions that need answering.

You absolutely should. I got detained for hours in Los Angeles airport when I entered the country once due to a warrant for a ticket in Georgia. They literally called Athens county in Georgia to see if they wanted to send someone to bring me to jail there. Warrants are not to be taken lightly

Coming from you this is ironic

Shouldn’t of been driving but hard to go to work without a license. Good for you paying BS parking tickets.

My brother got stopped coming from Norway at JFK for this very reason. He was held for hours until they said he could leave. It was in their computer system.

I went to renew my license and the lady at the place told me my license had been suspended for 3 years. I had mailed in payment for a ticket and it was processed a day late which gave me a late fee. The address on my license was out of date so I didn't get any notification. Thankfully never got pulled over.

How did you ever get car insurance / renewed? Here in La. your license # is flagged for any thing outstanding & notice is automatically sent to the insurance company.

I’ve received several tickets and was even arrested for something else here in LA and they never say a thing about the deal in TX. But they sure send me a letter about it every 3 months or so.

I never had a problem with insurance or renewing my tag. This was in the mid 90s and maybe things weren't as automated then.
