Finally was able to stop procrastinating and settle a debt for accrued parking tickets that amounted to $3700, and settled for $1200.

You may have gotten lucky if it was in Dallas. 5-6 years ago Dallas county purged their books and something like 8000 unpaid out of state tickets disappeared. I had a parking ticket I never paid and it is gone now

I thought this at one point also! I took a CC class and went to update my address on my license before i sent off paperwork, when the guy behind the desk told me I have been driving suspended for 3.5 years! I told him he was confused and incorrect but sadly I had an non moving violation from Lake Charles that I had paid the ticket but they had no recollection. I was always able to renew registration and had full coverage insurance the entire time. The DMV never mailed me any notification nor my insurance knew about it.
