This whole thing has made it pretty clear that the average person doesn’t understand how fragile the whole system is. “Just shut down for a few weeks” is not a small request. There are massive societal consequences to that.

But my whole point is that panic is never the answer. Take it as it comes. You can only control what you can control.. Outside of that you got to roll with the punches.

It’s not panic to say, “eliminating cash flow to the majority of small businesses in the western world is probably going to have massive negative consequences for their employees and the greater economy.”

it's very easy to say this (and very inexpensive to do so) for people who have income coming in
i have reserves and personal saving. i can shed expenses. i have some time. MOST PEOPLE, do not. take away their income and it's panic very quickly

again, i'm not worried about 2 weeks. a month? that's bad
