people are already calling for rent and bill forgiveness
That's because other countries are doing that. There's several bills in Congress now with varying levels of relief and even on with UBI. People complain about the economic impact of quarantine but then laugh at all efforts to try and help soften that impact.

frick off Oweo. You are the last person that I would listen to
Am I trying to force you to listen to me? I don't give a god damn who listens to me. The point of this thread is to say that there is no need to panic. Panic does no one any good. Whatever happens, happens.
Look at everything that has happened in this world throughout history. We have always found away to get back to "normal". Sure, there will be some disruption, but what does panicking achieve? It prevents you from making rational decisions for one. You do what you have to do to survive. We really have no idea what will come of all of this.

No you didn’t. That was an economic collapse due to market forces. This is an economic collapse due to overreaction and the government shutting the economy down.
I am well aware that it is two different situations, but I am referring to people panicking and everything being doom and gloom.
Again, my whole point is that you can only control what you can control. Outside of that, you just have to do whatever you have to do to get back on track. What other options do you have? Yes it sucks, but take it as it comes.. Do what you have to do and it will eventually get on track. No reason to freak the frick out.

Why do you keep saying this?
Who’s panicking and who’s screaming doom and gloom?

Who’s “freaking the frick out?”

But my whole point is that panic is never the answer.
You say not to panic while supporting panic and condemning those who oppose the panic.
Your mindset is all over the place.

Outside of that you got to roll with the punches.
That is awful advice.
This thread is awful.

Is there really a reason for you to be so nasty and rude? If you don’t like what he says, don’t read it!

It’s eye opening how many educated adults think this shutdown is just some small economic sacrifice

This will destroy thousands of lives.
But just roll with it, bro.

I appreciate you posting this. It’s nice to read something positive on here. There seems to be a lot of unhappy and miserable people here who are psychic and like bringing others down. It’s a shame.

Go outside. Take a walk. Give homage to the government. Contemplate unemployment.

A lot of people will downvote the op but dude is right. Everything is going well. If you've got to live through a pandemic, now is the best time and this country is still the best one to have to deal with it in. Could always be worse.
