Instead, these selfish assholes will go on bragging about being child free until they get old and demand our children work to support their retirement.

Breeding taxpayers is such a great motivation to have kids!

Sounds like a lot of people who have had different life experiences than yourself, and therefore have made different choices.. it’s weird that you would have a problem with that .

What is parentified?

Im guessing it means people who had to grow up extremely quick as kids and almost ‘parent their parents’.. ie like if you had an alcoholic mother you had to help keep under control, or a father who was mentally ill or somehting and you had to grow up real quick .. that’s just a guess though .

Deep down, I think most of these people either can't afford children or are disillusioned with the prospects of finding a partner.

This is the real driving force here. Most “I don’t want kids” people are projecting that because they actually do want kids, but deep down don’t believe they’ll ever get them.

Personally, I do the same thing because I physically can’t have kids. I didn’t find that out until after I was married, and that news was the final straw that broke said marriage.

Or for similar reasons had to be the parent to younger siblings.

A vasectomy is in no way, shape or form healthcare.

I really didn't think much about having kids before I got married, but I was open to the idea of having one or two.

I got it out of the way pretty young. My youngest was born when I was 28. She will be a SR in high school in August. I guess we'll be empty nesters when I'm 47 which will allow us to go on vacation while all of those little shits are in school

Do you have any crocodile tears to spare for the kids born to absolutely shitty parents that had no business procreating,
or did you shed them all on people who have different perspectives in life?
I'm sure they are very grateful for your faux pity.

The frick are you blaming Gen X for a-hole? Being self sufficient, having an imagination, and not needing our mom to shake to shake our penis after we went potty?

good job had I known I was going to succumb to the wily female ways I wish I'd have gotten married at 18 just to be young and healthy enough to enjoy life after booting the little shits out of the nest

Do we really want these people raising children?

I think we're dodging bullets here.

I don’t spend too much time worrying about what other people do with their lives, especially if it doesn’t affect me.
My girl and I are getting close to 40 and don’t have kids. We good, not looking to have them. Happy for those who do though.

Kids are great, but the world is only getting shittier.

I hope things can make a reversal rather than getting worse, but it doesn't seem like kids these days will grow up in as good a world as we did

I've got three kids and I'm fine with others not wanting kids. It's better for society to leave the parenting to people who desire the task, because it is a monumental one.
The problem is people having kids with no real desire to be an actual parent.

People like this are almost offensive. If you don’t want to have kids, that’s fine. But don’t just assume I live in misery because I have kids. For all the headaches that come with raising kids, I would sacrifice your life for their well being without any thought or hesitation.
