Please sit here with a straight face and tell me you think Latoya's leadership will be a benefit to tourism in the city.

If this turns out to be true, I feel for all of the businesses, even beyond hotels, restaurants and bars, that were counting on Mardi Gras as an economic life preserver. Such a shame.

Good job New Orleans. You elected an illiterate leftist radical from California to be your mayor.

This is what happens.

Besides eating and drinking what makes New Orleans so great to live in? I’m curious

On the bright side, democrats will destroy everything economically here that hopefully you never see blue here anywhere again. Only then will you actually start to recover. We all have to learn from our mistakes. Hopefully New Orleans did or the sane ones move out of NO.

she is absolutely horrible for the city across the board

Even with such an incompetent bitch at the helm, it doesn’t change the fact that NO is still most livable than any city in the State by a mile

You may need to check on your definition of fact. Because what you just said certainly isn't one.

So, obviously I don't live there, never attended, but why cancel so early, isn't it like 4 months out?

Nah...he's going to blame Trump for anything bad that happens or that he has to deal with for years to come, and the media is going to help with the con.

That will work at first, but the economic impacts will be felt long after the virus disappears. He will need the economy to turn around before the next election season starts three years from now.

He doesn’t want to run for re-election during a recession.

Can we phase out NOLA as the main city of Louisiana? My vote is for Saint George or Lafayette.

Well, if you made a checklist of things like education, crime rates, economics, government, taxes, cost of living, etc. etc. New Orleans certainly wouldn't be considered a city great to live in.

You could honestly apply this to most of Louisiana. Besides maybe St.Tammany which is close enough to enjoy New Orleans but far enough away to avoid the problems and has great schools. If Jefferson could fix the schools it would be phenomenal.

No. The port always makes NOLA first.

I kinda feel like most of you would be whining either way...

If it wasn't cancelled: "SEE! We told you corona would be over on Nov 4th! Such bullshite!"

When it was cancelled: "Oh my God...more government intrusion, and it's not even a deadly virus! Such bullshite!"

Yup

I like my trips to NO like anyone but I'd never live there.

No offense to the fine folk in NO.

Those are great when you’re single or maybe a childless couple

I’m not denying New Orleans is fun for singles or young people
