I kinda feel like most of you would be whining either way...

If it wasn't cancelled: "SEE! We told you corona would be over on Nov 4th! Such bullshite!"

When it was cancelled: "Oh my God...more government intrusion, and it's not even a deadly virus! Such bullshite!"

What a stunning and brave stance you have.

Already setting the table for more control of the public...what a power grab.

The comments on social media are overwhelmingly in favor of this decision. It's both astounding and terrifying.

This is scary whne people from all over the country decide how New Orleans celebrates its' cultcha.

Port be damned. I'm talking about the entertainment capital of Louisiana. Maybe these festivals and conferences will get tired of Destroya's restrictions and consider relocating. I know Lafayette is open for business. We will gladly take it.

Not really if you are a middle class family which is where the majority of people fall.

With the demographics and poor education system in Nola, it’s just going to continue forever,

Yeah, I have a hard time believing that's people from New Orleans or Louisiana in general. But then again, they did elect Destroya...so...not sure these days.

You have nowhere to host it Laffy couldn't handle these 20k people conferences whenever those become a thing again, let alone provide the easily accessible entertainment outside the conference that NOLA does.

This city is run by morons, but other cities in the state cannot provide what this city does.

It's not about safety. It's about destroying small businesses. Whoever eventually swoops in and replaces them are the ones paying her off.

Yep. Livable is very subjective.

Lol no she isn't.

Like someone pointed out, people are on board with this. That's the sad part about this nationwide. About half the people in this country live this type of stuff and are fully supporting authoritarianism. It's unreal.

I'm not sure about that but if you've ever fantasized about owning a bar, you may want to start saving and locking down some financing because you could be printing money in 2022 or 2023 due to the lack of competition.

Destroy small business, enhance mega business (Amazon) then take control of them.
