A weak cardiovascular system seems to be just as if not more deadly with this thing. Heart has to work exponentially harder with less oxygen

Everyone gets it, but not everyone dies of it. Big difference.

So 50% are over 60. Which is how much of the population?

It’s worth noting that this are only “serious” case numbers, not death numbers. According to the WHO, fatality rates have remained constant. I would assume that what we are seeing is that the chances of the disease progressing to critical is more evenly spread out but being able to recover from that stage is not favorable to the elderly.

That’s also a fair assumption combined with the number of smokers in France.

If you are smoke or are fat the comorbidity numbers for those 40+ are through the roof.
No one is really taking about that aspect because in .most civilized places the populace is not incredibly obese or sucking on a Juul or Marlboro...
But France and Italy? Ugly numbers
Louisiana, fat smokers everywhere, matter of time.

Thank goodness it's a Chinese and not German flu.

I had no idea the OT was full of so much pussay. This virus (not a fricking disease) has really helped separate the true baws/knuckle checkers from the rest.
