It's going to be really sad when they find out many of the people in the plane

Died from drowning in waist deep frigid water.

I fear this will be a lot that died from this.

Seeing the video of when the helicopter hit the plane, I disagree.

Even the ones that survived the impact were prob unconscious... doubt they even knew what was happening

Well you're a dumb arse if you think a lot of people survived a plane going 160 MPH and gets hit by a helicopter going 110 MPH and then falls 400 feet into shallow water.

Probably very few, if any died from that.

They hit the river and smacked the bottom at over 100 mph.

I read they found a bunch under water still strapped in their buckle. You don’t survive that impact and survive that fall and then survive the water temps.

This was a 400 foot drop in an aircraft going ~130 knots. The impacts were probably severe enough that it was sudden.

The noted that people were being found still in there seats - if they were alive when the plane impacted the ground, they would have tried to escape.

impacting the water wouldn't have been much different than impacting pavement

And if anyone did survive they could have been in complete shock the short time they were still alive.

there have been instances of people surviving crashes because of cold and icy conditions, stopping bleeding, slowing down pulse, heart rate, etc.

There was a fireball and the plane crashed, my guess is many died on or before impact.

I imagine that was gruesome for responders.
