re: It's disturbing how many women think Lindsay Clancy should be free

Where we screwed up as a culture was mistakenly attributing our Freedoms as Americans to include thoughts and actions that do not support the society upon which our nation was founded. Productive and differing thoughts deserve freedom. All peoples have a place. Those that are not productive (outside of disabilities or youth) do not have a place in our society. Those that want to dismantle society have no place in it.
Merrmeerrmeerg, you can't check muh freedoms. If you think any part of a triple homicide of children is excusable, then you don't deserve the freedoms provided, nor should you be a part of society.

Post-partum depression affects 1 out of 5 women who have given birth. It's a specifier under Major Depressive Disorder in the DSM-5-TR that acknowledges is can have varying levels (just like "standard" depression). Post-partum psychosis is the most severe of that presentation (and falls under other conditions as a specifier like Brief Psychotic Disorder or Major Depressive Disorder with psychotic features, etc).
it also affects 1 in 10 men. Which is where i think this story has struck such a chord beyond everything being lame gender politics nonsense. It is estimated that 44% to 64% of people in jail have a mental illness, those people recieve a fraction of the care proir to their crimes than she did.
Online women love to bring up that the most dangerous time for women is when they pregnant. What the reaction be if men were saying it was hormonal issue? It is true that husbands have hormone swings when their wife is pregnant. You cannot tell me what it is like, you are not man and never experienced how wild the mood swings are.

I had TERRIBLE PPD/anxiety/rage. The intrusive thoughts I had were terrifying but mine never went to the dark place of hurting or killing my baby. I ended up in the nut house for a 72 hour hold it was so bad.
PPD is real but frick these women who are basically saying every mom with PPD wants to kill her baby because I fricking did not. I was scared to death someone would hurt me then hurt him.

But what guys see in this saga is women going "same, Lindsay, same" on social media and giving her money and blaming the husband. And then Matt Walsh does some rage baiting on PPD, and now we're flooded with all the "normal" moms/wives who were just sort of keeping quiet about the Clancy nuttery putting the PPD ignorance/trolling on the same level as the mass psychosis of the Clancy situation generally.
If this was just some women trying to use PPD and PPP to account for her actions then fine. I get it.
However the vast majority of talk around this is either
1) Blaming her husband because he didn't do enough for her. Despite the fact that he switched and worked from home. He also hired a nanny for her. He also had the two oldest kids in daycare. He also has in laws and his parents around all the time to help her. He also told her to quit her job and took on being the sole bread winner. He also was active in her treatment.
2) Saying the husband was having an affair. There is ZERO evidence of this.
3) Straight up saying he killed the kids and framed her.

And I'm saying that if they're accurately assessed they're not faking it. And it's not exclusive to a certain class or race of woman when you consider the are finding genetic components to it.
At this point I'm not sure if you are legitimately struggling to comprehend the point or if you are intentionally ignoring it. Stout is not saying that its a made-up disorder or that women that are clinically diagnosed with it don't actually have it. He's pointing out that middle-class white women (at a much higher rate than other demographics) are self-diagnosing themselves with it for the social media likes and sympathies.

you guys would drag your nuts over broken glass for your wives to touch your shriveled peepee.
Why is this always the feminist response to men in nearly every exchange? Y'all notice that? Just about every debate with a feminist you'll see at some point has them taking shots at the guys penis. It's so odd.

Because you're not being tribal by suggesting it's a "white women's disease".
I'm not. I'm making an observation of the groups of people both supporting Lindsay and also posting their performative social media trash about their alleged PPD struggles.
Go look at both groups and tell me what you see.
I bet very few of them have ever actually been clinically diagnosed. They are just attention seekers, as I said.

Yes. Make sure you tell everyone that and maybe even start to hammer it home again about your degree, which you only stopped doing when I made fun of you for it.
I think it's time you remind people that you have a therapy degree to put people in check and tell them their opinions are invalid like you used to.
I think some people here have forgotten just who they are responding to. Sigmund Freud reincarnated.

Your projection is precious. And no, I've mentioned I'm a therapist even after you said something.

They do harm to those who actually have it by making society want to doubt it as legitimate.
No one with diagnosed PPD is setting up a camera to throw ice cubes at a bathtub or swinging a pillow at a wall, adding music to the video with captions, then posting it on TikTok

Yeah, but you used to do it in like a solid 80% of your posts. You should go back to that because people tend to forget just who they are responding to.

Yep, that's pretty peak attention seeking behavior imo. I'm so enraged and out of control that I'm going to go through a 5-6 step process to record and post my outburst to socials. It's very weird.

I sure as hell didn't. My husband and I were trying everything we could to get through this time in our lives. Im sure he was scared as frick for me and the last thing I wanted was to put this shite on social media.

If Belle were half the therapist she claims to be, she would admit that those people suffer from narcissism more so than they do PPD and that their narcissism is also the reason they despise their children to the point of anger.

Looks like Belle to me.

Belle and these other dumb white women would be nowhere to be found if this was some black junky lady that murdered her babies.

The fact that you're this ate up by this is absolutely hilarious.

I'm very observant, Belle
I know you liked telling us about your degree, then I made fun of you for it, and you basically stopped.
I am telling you it's time to start again to feed your own ego like you like to do.

And people who throw around the term narcissism so broadly apparently don't understand that most of the people they call narcissists don't meet the clinical definition of narcissism and they're mostly just self-absorbed assholes.
But hey, glad you're doing some driver seat diagnosing.

Also, I'm not saying PPD isn't real, but I imagine all of these women posting and flooding the algo's making this seem like it's inevitable that you'll deal with this isn't doing our birth rates any favors.
