My daughter had sent me the 10 day forecast for Waco. A comfortable 99 is the lowest projected day. Next 4 all show 105.

Several couples are going to the races at Lone Star Park on Sunday - last day of thoroughbred racing. I really feel sorry for the poor horses.

True. When people try to slough off the desert 115+ heat by saying it's a "dry" heat, I always laugh. A dry 115 and a humid 95 are just as miserable.
That being said, some places along the Persian Gulf have had temps above 100 with dew points in the 90s. One city had a heat index of 178.
