Sweden hardly did "nothing", they canceled HS and college, all public gatherings, etc, but they never went full shut down like Spain or Italy, which does make them an interesting case.

Can someone post the numbers of how many nursing home residents died in New York?
To me that has been the biggest travesty in this whole fricked up Covid saga.

Between the 5 states where the governors REQUIRED nursing homes to readmit COVID patients - it was 50,000 people

I don't know about NY, but I know at one point nursing home patients made up 40% of the deaths in LA

Sweden didn't do nothing, but they took a sensible approach that didn't involve a full lockdown. And most importantly they are past this. They're done. They aren't wringing their hands about whether to have school or sporting events this Fall.

NY was walloped early on and cut it back by being aggressive with its protocols. He’s saying you can recover from bad spikes but you don’t even have to have them if you do the things recommended by the cdc.

I understand all that. I guess my question should've been does anyone with a working set of eyes and ears really believe that Cuomo did a fantastic job of protecting the citizens of NY? Do people ACTUALLY believe that? Or is it just the usual media talking points being spewed out? Like no one can say that and really believe that. Right?

Restaurants been open for outside dining only for just a few weeks now. The same with beaches and shite like day camp. Bars are not open. The governor can shut all that down in a second, as he likes to remind us.
From NJ COVID website:
Bars and restaurants may currently open for drive-through, delivery, takeout, and outdoor dining.
The reopening of indoor dining spaces has been postponed. Indoor dining is not allowed.
