Yeah, I travel international all the time. I start a 3 week trip to Asia and round the world on saturday.
Atlanta to Hong Kong
hong Kong to Shanghai
Shanghai to Hanoi
Hanoi to Singapore
Singapore to Delhi
Delhi to Amsterdam
Amsterdam to Atlanta
While SOME of the planes are nicer, a lot are not. And unless you are in business class you are fricked. And if you fly american air carriers you are double fricked because the service sucks and the seniority system puts the oldest bitch flight attendants on your plane. its like flying with your fricking mother in law. Delta is particularly bad.

That schedule is nuts. What do you do? O&G multinational?
I wish I could travel more internationally.

I understand Hanoi and Saigon are pretty neat places to visit. Do you ever get time to play tourist?
I want to go to Singapore too.

Can we talk about scram jets and why we don't have them yet? I remember being really excited about these 20 years ago when it seemed like they were right around the corner. It promised suborbital flight that could get you around the globe in like 90 minutes.

I've made that flight but from dallas>LA>Auckland, flew with virgin/air new zealand which is awesome. Delta has the worst service off all and their planes are outdated.
1. Delta owns half of Virgin
2. Delta should be getting its new A350s for the trans-pacific routes later this year.
3. Take a Xanax and go to sleep or change jobs if you don't want to travel.
4. Glad I fly charter
Just kidding I mainly fly Delta. I was on a Delta 757 yesterday (only 4 hour flight). It had just gone through a refit because the interior was brand new. It was a damn good flight.

I did a lil solo travel for fun and went to both places. Hanoi was nicer , Saigon dirty and noisy

We get ours for 3.25 and we don't even have a good arrangement. Some airlines are getting their asses kicked from some crappy hedges but delta now produces their own and is probably getting it incredibly cheap.

In what fantasy world did you ever believe we could safely travel over the oceans in 4 hours?
I remember in 85 reading popular science for kids article about this. The planes were going to go into some sub orbital shite and fly much faster. I can still see the little picture of a plane over the US going from NY to LA in 1 hour.

Yes! That's it. Add 10 years. This was what the article was about I read in 6th grade.

Sorry you couldn't afford an upgrade to business class.

Houston to Luanda, Angola is +/-14.5hrs. I make that run every 28 days and it's not bad at all. We fly SonAir and ~80% of the plane has huge chairs that lay almost perfectly flat. Of course, each chair has a video screen. That gives you access to roughly 20 different movies to choose from and they change them out every 2 months or so.
