China thinks long term and despite their terrible hygiene and eating habits they’re developing themselves to be set for the future. Something the US should be doing but instead we think quarter to quarter and throw away our future

Unlike colonial powers of the past, China is expanding their influence with the carrot, not the stick.

i.e they are bribing leaders in Africa and elsewhere and then moving in to take over the economy.

I understood the African countries doing that, but am surprised about this. Will the US Military bases in Italy be affected by this?

It may be unlikely he will do it, but he will come closer than anyone else you could possibly have a chance of electing to his position in your lifetime - I don't care how old you are.

So, there's your choice.

This is spot on. My family is cognizant of the threat China poses to us as a nation. We don’t buy anything from them willingly. We all have the power to thwart their attempts to take over the world. Exercise your pocketbook and be aware of what you are purchasing. Back political candidates that eschew our goods and way of life. Every day there are choices to be made. Make wise ones and good things will come of it

I would too. His ego drives me nuts but if he gets American companies back up and running in America he’d get my vote.

Italy signs pact with the devil

"Italy"

Italy's last well thought out, and swell idea to be the first jumping into a pact was to sign the Anti-Comintern with Germany on November 6, 1937..... Then on May 22, 1939, Italy doubled down and signed the so-called "Pact of Steel".

Didn't work out too well, though.

Something about their president (dictator) and his girlfriend ending in the up Italian version of the dunk tank... but instead of sitting on a chair over a pool of water while carnival goers threw balls to hit the bulls-eye.. .. they hung upside down in the public square where the crowd took turns pummeling their heads with hammers... while other participants were given free, unlimited, pot shots at them with handguns and rifles. The fellow they signed the act with blew his brains out in an underground bunker in Berlin a few days later.

I'll admit that's fair, but it's really the title that's misleading.

Does anyone remember what happened the last time Italy got in bed with an Asian country?

So you think this could be a test run?

Test run was Hong Kong. Italy will be owned by China soon. They will have Chinese approved leadership and their citizens will follow a code of law similar to China’s. They will achieve this by pumping in money, and then eventually by force if necessary

The end result will be the same. Hong Kong is the example. These countries will eventually be forced to bow down

Our politicians have sold us out to China and Trump is the first one to start doing something about it. I didn’t vote for him in 2016 (3rd party) but his stance/response to China and other countries giving us the shaft is one of the biggest reasons he has my support.

There is a huge difference with the U.S. and China. Having consistency with government leaders allows for long term planning. The U.S. changes leaders, policy, and goals every 4-6 years so it’s much harder to plan long term.
