I'm not sure which is worse at this point.
And you "testing" cats better get ready for another talking point - we're about to drown in tests. MILLIONS will be tested in a couple, three weeks. Probably 10s of millions (if this is even a thing) in a month or so. We're going to have so many tests we'll be able to roll around in them.
And either people don't have the disease (which means we've contained it - and contained it early) OR it isn't lethal.
Which one are you guys rooting for?

CoV-19 is considerably less lethal then those two, but makes up for it on how contagious it is.
None of that addresses the number of needed critical care hospitalizations.

Denial will kick in though. When your whole world view is centered in "our system is superior," reality will get ignored.
If, IF, IFFFFF, it really does get bad here, people are going to be horrified at the state of healthcare. We are stretched fricking thin already. We work short constantly. And this is a major health system.

My understanding is that Italy doesn’t have Urgent Care-type places like the US. Where non-emergent, ill people can get immediate treatment and be on their way.
