Exactly. Quit calling it a vaccine IT’S NOT! Same reason we don’t call a flu shot a vaccine. It’s not a vaccine.

Are you intentionally ignorant or just stupid?

Oh this is a lot better than what I thought we were going to see.

So it prevents severe disease at a very high effectiveness level, and it also still prevents infection totally at a rate as high as 40%?

Guess there is some validity now to the vaccine passport folks now. It was sounding like there wasn't an argument to why vaccinations effected others.

Some of you Chinese Flu True Believers are never going to admit you've been taken for a ride by your side, are you? This whole thing from the outset has been a goat rope. How many times do the facts have to slap you in the face before you come to the realization the all-wise, all-caring government has been using you for a stooge the entire time? You probably believe 500K+ have really died because of the Chinese Flu.

Muh vaccine passport I can’t get over how fricking lame and embarrassing you people are. It’s like every middle schooler who would tattle to the teacher about everything grew up and started begging the government to become more authoritarian

I've said this from the beginning; if you've ever wanted to know who would've turned you in for hiding Jews in your home in 1930s Germany, now you know. The Mask Mandaters and Chinese Flu True Believers couldn't dime you out fast enough.

Every Ochsner and LCMC hospital has suspended elective inpatient surgeries so obviously it is happening.

No, they are moving elective things so that doesn't happen. frick off with the fear bullshite. I have family working Ochsner ERs and ICUs. They aren't overwhelmed now, and they weren't last year either.

I can go find an article that contradicts this.. Just because thats how the internet works, but how sick are the vaccinated becoming when they get it?

Yall stop trying to justify why you shouldn't go get vaccinated and just go do it. Whatever the percentage is, the more people who take it, the less it will spread around.

I've never seen so many pussies in my life who is scared to go get a shot.

Its like people who smoke and talk about not going get vaccinated because its not safe.

Exactly. They are moving things because there is stress to Hospital capacity (which really isn’t a space issue but a staffing problem). This wave has the second most hospitalized patients in the Nola region and I believe the most in the Baton Rouge region.

I didn’t say or respond to someone who said that. He said there is no stress to hospital capacity and that’s absolutely false.

This is actually the 4th wave in the state

I feel like you're arguing semantics here, but whatever. And I'd like to know where you're getting your info from.
My wife just got back from a shift at an Ochsner facility and they have not cancelled electives.

This is still the third biggest surge for Hospitalizations in Nola.

April 2020 peak - 1008 hospitalizations
Jan 2021 peak - 428 hospitalizations
Present - 364 hospitalizations

Just saying. BR has exceeded the Jan 2021 peak (243 to 306) but still below the April 2020 peak (345 to 306) though it seems to be climbing fast and looking at the infection rate I think BR might get there. That being said, I assume hospitals are much better equipped to handle Covid now.

Nola has little to worry about IMO. They withstood the 1000 hospitalizations burden with little to no good treatment options. Now there are successful treatment options.
