CMS reimburses $40. Most insurance companies $28. Not really a highly profitable venture for time involved in processing paperwork and reporting.

She says it's still effective against severe infection.
Maybe, but she seems to be very specific about its overall effectiveness and pretty ambiguous about this claim. Reminds me of the claims that vaccinated people can’t spread the virus which was the big of talking point about 10 days ago. Now that’s vanished and is replaced by this ambiguous claim.

I didn’t mention anything about profit. Cost is not profit.
Also - Those figures are per dose. So you can at least double them.

A new study conducted on the effectiveness of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine shows that protection against the virus drops to approximately 84% about four to six months after the second dose is injected.

The study also showed that though declining, the vaccine was 97% effective against severe disease for at least six months.

Exactly. Quit calling it a vaccine IT’S NOT! Same reason we don’t call a flu shot a vaccine. It’s not a vaccine.

And for the poster that said the vaccine was completely worthless, please look at the death rates before and after the vaccination rollout

It obviously works to reduce the severity of the current strains. But it also seems to allow the virus to hang around. I just hope like others have mentioned that vaccinated the low risk folks too doesn’t come back to bite us.

The Israel's have a high percentage of vaccinated population, having their data and analysis helps us. Their evidence points to a need for booster shots.
"We see infection rates among them that is 90 per 100,000, which is double of those who are fully vaccinated by March," she said, adding that "we see a drop in the vaccine effectiveness against disease for those who have been vaccinated early on, and we see it for both elderly people over the age of 60 but also for the younger."
An infection rate of 90 per 100,000 is 0.0009%.
Most adults in the US who want to be vaccinated have by now done that. Those that do not have not. Covid hospitalizations today are overwhelmingly of the unvaccinated, with deaths almost exclusively so.
It's time to let it ride, open things up and discard notions of masking.
Let Covid burn itself out with herd immunity before a variant develops immune to vaccines. People, not government, are responsible for their own and their families health. Choices must be made.
With this approach, avoidable deaths will occur among all age groups. Perhaps a sharp rise in mortality rates persuades some to get vaccinated.
Regardless, time to move on and let the chips fall where they may.

Wait, I thought this is “only a pandemic of the unvaccinated” now. How would the death rate be any different due to the vaccine rollout?

The poliboard refuses to acknowledge this. Those retards are leaking over to the OT.

Because half the people are now vaccinated? Are you really dumb enough to not get the difference?

This is working as advertised. Not sure why so many have a surprised Pikachu face about this.
They said it was 90%+ effective at preventing severe cases that require hospitalizations or result in death. They never said it prevents you from getting the actual virus.

Rate would be deaths / infections. If 97% of vaccinated people aren’t contracting the virus, the pool of infections would be unvaccinated. Since those people don’t have the vaccine, it wouldn’t lower the death rate. You should see a very similar death rate as pre-vaccine for that population. This is of course unless we’re now admitting that you have about the same chance of infection if you’re vaccinated.

Fixed it for you. This isn't going to just run its course. Humanity is just going to have to learn to live with it.
China literally has altered human history.
