Two recent Somali hijackings of Iranian flagged vessels after Somali piracy has been dormant for several years. Would be interesting to know the backstory.

I’m just not understanding how much more space there is left in Gaza. It’s such a tiny area to begin with, how many more places are there for Hamas to hide (especially with the remaining 100+ hostages)

Well, they didn't wait too long to break the ceasefire:

The Israel Defense Force has stated that the Explosions and Gunfire reported last night in Northern Gaza were the result of a Coordinated Attack against IDF Troops at Two Locations which was a “Clear Violation of the Truce Agreement.” During the Violations several Explosive Devices were Detonated near Israeli Forces with Gunfire also being Directed towards them, resulting in Injuries to multiple IDF Soldiers who they state were all within the Agreed Ceasefire-Lines.

In the Muslim world, a ceasefire means “give me a chance to reload because you are kicking my arse!”

Pirates didn't run up in SWCC boats, did they?

I'm surprised it took this long, honestly.

The majority of Israeli actions, ground operations and bombings, have taken place in northern Gaza. The south has been relatively left alone to this point, but the IDF will turn its attention to it in the next phase of the war, which will be interesting because many civilians (along with Hamas terrorists) have fled there during the northern campaign.

The remaining hostages are being held underground in the Indonesian Hospital complex.

There are at least a few that aren't being held by Hamas directly, but by one of the other various terrorist factions in Gaza.

Pretty much, exchanging prisoners for hostages pretty much sealed the deal. I find it hard to believe that this time tomorrow once the ceasefire has expired Israel will go back to the scorched earth policy. Rinse and repeat, because that’s what will continue to happen.

Israel isn't going to just stop eradicating the people responsible for the worst jewish massacre since the holocaust. Hamas might still exist....but it won't be in the Gaza strip.

In my opinion Israel never was going to see the return of all the prisoners. Even if Hamas agreed to, why would they knowing Israel is going to resume shelling immediately after?
Plus the ratio of hostages vs prisoners released seems odd, especially when the last time you did this you released a number of terrorists who went right back to murdering. As cold as it sounds, if Israel wanted to eradicate Hamas on its border it should have never paused. Biden gave them bad advice.

I have been waiting and hoping to see a headline that some of the higher ranks hiding in Qatar has been taken to the train station.
