CNN —

A Cornell University junior was arrested and charged in connection with a series of antisemitic online threats made against Cornell University’s Jewish community, federal officials said Tuesday, two days after the messages surfaced.

Patrick Dai, 21, was arrested Tuesday on “a federal criminal complaint charging him with posting threats to kill or injure another using interstate communications,” the US attorney’s office for New York’s northern district said.

Earlier Tuesday, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said a person of interest was in the custody of New York State Police for questioning.

These two clips highlight what Hamas is when it comes to providing for civilians. In the first the journalist points out that Hamas hasn't built a single public shelter for the Palestinian people. In the second, a piece of garbage head man of Hamas says that shelters are the UN's responsibility.

There are two sides to every conflict but I can't hear the Palestinian argument over the screams of the October 7 victims. I'm not interested in dialogue, constructive or otherwise, any more.

Which Mediterranean cuisine do you like besides Lebanese; Greek?

That’s what you get when you elect a terrorist organization that uses residential areas to construct underground tunnels and munitions dumps.

But, but, but supposedly some “innocent” Haji’s got killed. But did the Haji’s die from the Israeli munitions, from the sink holes caused by the collapsed tunnels created by Hamas PE certified engineers or maybe secondary explosions from the Hamas ammo dump?

You’d love the place I found reader Eater Dallas. Place up in Plano called Terra Mediterranean. I usually don’t do buffets but if Eater list it I figured I would give it a try and it was fantastic. Beef Kibbe (sp?) and roasted veggies finished off with rice pudding with crushed pistachios.

Not after Oct 7, I don’t understand why the modern world has rules for war compared to 1,000 years ago. Both groups hate each other, will never get along, and will never be peace until one side is damn near wiped off the face off the earth. Same for any other conflict around the world. Playing by our modern rules when it comes to war might be a reason conflicts in today’s world continue to happen, the ones we know about, and the ones nobody gives a damn about.

The issue lies in the unconstrained world view of Progressives compared to the constrained world view of Conservatives. The former believes that with enough time, money or negotiations you can change man. The latter believes that all you can do is manage the situation and that there are no true solutions only trade-offs. In this case the you can not change the approach of Hamas but you can eliminate them even though your soul may suffer due to the loss of “innocents” they hide behind.

Holy shiznit, I have blown up a shite ton of M60’s hulks. We use them as targets on ranges!

LOL…was just telling my SIL the same thing. On a modern-day battlefield, I’d much rather be on foot than inside something like an M60. They’re coffins on tracks compared to modern weapons.

Dummy here with one question.

Are any U.S. forces on the ground inside Gaza actively fighting Hamas?

Not that’s been publicly disclosed. We have advisors/boots on the ground in Israel. Likely SpecOps for hostage rescues as well.

Officially? No.
Unofficially? Probably.
In an assistance capacity? 100% yes.

No actual units that I’m aware of. There are always a few American advisors in Israel…or at least there used to be. I spent almost a year there myself, many moons ago. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn a handful are imbedded with the IDF. We have a few in the area…Jordan and Syria. We have many troops off the coast sitting on ships.

Yep. That guy posting who is upset that a “refugee camp” was blown up will pee himself if Egypt fires on people storming the border.
