I wonder if the Palestinians know their support in the United States doesn't really extend past queers and trannies?
Someone should probably tell them.

We've owed them an arse kicking since 1979. They've got it coming, but US/Iran war has the potential for getting very ugly.
Getting into a war with Iran has disaster written all over it. You can’t defeat them from the air…it will require boots on the ground. Boots on the ground didn’t work out great in Iraq (which Iran now controls) not Afghanistan (which the taliban still controls).
Also there’s 80 million Iranians and they are way more intelligent/sophisticated than arabs or afghans

Do they keep the radicals in check like Saddam?

Dave is going to walk a tightrope here because he is Muslim.
From what I can tell he was just speaking out against cancelling people for supporting Hamas, which is ideologically consistent with his longtime stance against cancel culture.
While I do admit to getting enjoyment when cancel culture comes to the would-be cancellers, I generally agree with Dave that we need to get back to where we don’t get pitchforks out every time someone says something stupid.

Do I need to post my daily reminder already?
Again, you don't do what Hamas did and get to go on living as normal. You just don't. Any call for Isrsael to cease fire is a non-starter for me. If you call for a halt to the bombing without at least throwing in a caveat regarding how Hamas operates within, and as part of, the civilian population by design and rule in Gaza you're part of the problem. Period.

It's the "students" you gotta watch out for. One minute they're having a mostly peaceful protest, the next minute they're bummed rushing a embassy.

I generally agree, but there are limits to stupidity.
Supporting Hamas after what they did is next level stupid. Godwin level stupid.

About half the nation is about ready to skin these Raghead Extremists alive. The country once was very secular and wants to go back that way. We wouldn’t have to do much other than fund some training and instigate a coup……which unfortunately our CIA has littel success at yet we keep funding them and promoting losers as long as they agree with the Dems.

Israel-Palestine war: Turkey asked Hamas' leadership to leave the country, sources say

Turkey asked Hamas’ top leadership to leave the country on the day that hundreds of Palestinian fighters attacked Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip, several sources told Middle East Eye.
All of Hamas’ senior leaders in Turkey have since left the country after being asked to, two sources familiar with the issue said.
On Sunday, Al Monitor reported that Hamas' political leader Ismail Haniyeh and his entourage were “politely sent away” after footage circulated on social media of him giving prayers of thanks while watching the attack on TV in Istanbul.

Track them down individually and assassinate each of them.
I thought we got along with Turkey. Why are they Pro-Hamas?
Pardon me if that’s an ignorant question, I don’t know the history of Hamas and Turkey.

Turkey has gone decidedly more Islamic than secular in the past 20+ years, mainly under Erdogan.
In fact, he send a flotilla to the Palestinians sometime in that time to try and antagonize Israel.
Just because we have relations with Turkey doesn’t mean that they aren’t run by an asshat.

The hard truth about Chappell is unfortunately most of us find him funny and enjoy his work so we will prolly try to forget the shite hes said that we really don't like. Part of it is bc unlike so, so many others, it at least seems like he's genuinely honest for better or worse
And that includes myself

We just need to get out of the policy of going to war with somebody and then spending twenty years, hundreds of billions of dollars, and American lives to re-build their country. Our new policy should be "Mess with us, we'll frick your shite up and you'll have to fix it!"

It was becoming increasingly clear Monday that the U.S. wants Israel to not only allow more humanitarian assistance into Gaza, but for the country to let ongoing negotiations over the release of hostages held by Hamas to continue before it launches a ground invasion of the Palestinian territory. Israel said Monday that Hamas was still holding 222 people captive.
A good negotiator wouldn’t give the aid without linking it to the release of hostages.
Trump would’ve made that part of the negotiations.

This is kind of where I am on it. Israel should have kept the complete siege up until those hostages were released, or other they were otherwise no longer an issue (I know that sounds bad). Hunger is a great motivator, it would either motivate the Palestinian people to rise up and unass themselves from Hamas, or it would force Hamas to release the hostages. Or, they all starve to death.
Hamas is going to string this out as long as they can, and we are going to become the country that wholesale negotiates with terrorists. Israel needs to keep up the siege and keep bombing the shite out of anything still standing.
We have the UN trying to pressure Israel to let relief into Gaza when the UN itself doesn't recognize Hamas as a terrorist group. The UN works hand-in-hand with Hamas as a rule because of that. They have little-to-no background knowledge on the people in charge of getting aid into Gaza after it crosses the border.
Israel is justified in allowing no aid in and continuing the siege and bombardment because of that reality. The US either needs to step up and use our spec op assets to go get hostages, or get the hell out of the way and let Israel handle its business.

Unconfirmed but Hamas is saying they just released 2 more hostages.
ETA - now Israel is saying they have been released but aren't in their hands yet.
