This is pretty crazy. Thankfully all of my friends and their families are safe but my good friend told me “this is the craziest scariest nightmare scenario”

Just going over some of the pics and vids on twitter. I have no idea what is going on. I don't know if the victims are Israel or not or whether the pics are from 1-10 years ago.
Propaganda is such a strong tool I wouldn't put it past any conflicting side to go to great lengths to fake them.
I don't doubt that Israel was attacked in some form or another but I don't know to what extent they are embellishing it to create more aid dollars. Same goes for Palestine to try and show they are just "getting back" at Israel for "mistreatment" over the last 100 years.

I did not have two war threads on the OT on my 2023 bingo card.
In a serious note, Israel needs to put a clear end to this nonsense this time and raze Gaza. US needs to support Israel by not encouraging leniency this time and an early stop. Let them completely decimate the threat. They probably don’t need much from us if we just “turn them loose”.
I’ve seen the Taliban is saying they’ll join and conquer Israel if its neighbors allow it. Don’t think that’s likely, but there’s billions in American equipment left in Afghanistan for them to potentially use to do so.
I do fear this is another avenue to further drain our reserves, run up more debt, and hurt ourselves to support the smaller efforts of something much larger in the future. Can’t help but feel China is involved behind the curtain and hopes to further erode us before their goal of Taiwan and more.
This feels like another conflict along the way in a pretty decent period of conflict around the world, hopefully not building to literal World War III.

Agreed, Israel has what it takes to handle Gaza and anything Iran throws at it.
I will have mixed feelings though if an Israeli F-35 knocks out any remaining airworthy Iranian F-14’s, it would be the end of an era.
Regarding Taiwan, other than air defense systems there is not a lot of duplicated weapons systems for these wars.
If Taiwan has much of a use for Bradley’s, M1A1’s, and short range shells, the war is already lost, as it would mean China successfully won naval and air supremacy, then followed it up with an amphibious assault 10x more complicated than Normandy.

Yes it would have, dude.
You don’t plan, pay for, and actually pull off an attack like this with a timeline of a few weeks.
This was years of planning and saving and logistics culminating in an attack around an important anniversary.
The money 100% will be used for further attacks on Israel and funding terrorism. But that money didn’t have shite to do with this attack.

Agree, but longer range projectile and air defense wise and monetary wise it’s applicable to some degree. Agree with you, and several others from the Ukraine thread, tanks and vehicles aren’t anywhere near the same effect for Taiwan and Ukraine.
I’d be interested in what Taiwan is gathering and potentially adapting to with Ukrainian success with naval drones.

Yeah, I don’t think people in this thread realize that this is the 50th anniversary of a large attack on Israel and just how large the rocket attack was. This was years in the making.
