Another corporation that makes a wide variety of products in Yamaha's back yard is Mitsubishi. They don't have the same reputation for quality as Yamaha, or Honda with their engines (especially since they merged their automotive divisions under the Renault/Nissan umbrella). But they make good stuff. From home air-conditioning units to CNC controls to military and space systems. They are even in the banking and food industries in Japan.

The Japanese really are an industrious group of people.

Those 300 HPDI’s would run, but popped so many power heads. They were just too powerful to sustain long runs.

Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki—all Japanese—are three of the best. The Japanese just make quality stuff.

Best 4 wheeler ever made. Have a 1997 4-trax 300 - still runs fine. That model was the ATV version of the Massey Ferguson 135. Can't kill em.

Yamaha engines and drive train components in the old Ford Taurus were outstanding. They gave the car great mileage and good performance.

Engine, yes, but they can be killed and die often due to the horrible design of the rear differential. Water gets into the brake drum which then seeps into the differential and kills it. There's a ton of folks out there that are swapping rear ends from old Honda 350D's and 250 Big Red 3 wheelers into their 300's due to the issue with the diff. I have a 2000 300 and it runs like a sewing machine, but I am on my 2nd differential. And for all of you saying Honda 4 wheelers are the gold standard, find me one whose drum brakes actually work. They're out there, but rare. Those brakes have been a problem that started way back in the 3 wheeler era and has never been resolved.

Its amazing what a couple nuclear bombs can do to a country. Maybe if we nuked Seattle Boeing would make decent airplanes again. Added bones of getting rid of a couple million liberal voters.

Yep. They were good vehicles. I had a non-SHO company car with a Yamaha engine for 2 weeks and was impressed with it.
