I would highly advise moving this operation outside. We've all been temped to do exactly what you're doing when it's cold outside, but there's always more grease splash than you think there will be. Plus there will be a lot of smoke in your kitchen.

You have to make sure your oil is extra hot
I am using 5W30 so the oil is thin and heats up faster

Im putting in a sprayer nozzle today for added safety.
Now that is smart. Would have never considered that. Good thing I came to the OT today. You may have saved me some trouble of my own.

I hope it's Pennzoil. That Z7 makes for a crispier skin.

I was about to say no, but then I saw the plywood on the floor and realized that you were good.

If the intention is to burn the house for insurance, then yes, it is safe for that purpose.
Might want to check your policy for an idiot clause.

Let's be honest, that plywood is there permanently to cover up the bare spots in the Linoleum.

THAT IS NOT SAFE!!!
You gotta close that cabinet door.

Well, how to expect to reach that coffee pot. Coffee could accidentally get in the oil, that would be bad for flavor.

As long as you don’t use any type of seed oil for the cooking, you should be good

Looks great stout
I might get a footstool to put next to it so the little ones can help. Never too early to learn

Why is there so much soap by the sink?
And hell no! Close that cabinet door first so little ones can't get into the cleaning supplies.

Nice setup! It's smart to avoid being outside, as tree leaves and other outdoor debris could easily end up in your oil.

Just showing off with the brand new plywood, if you weren't just doing this for views, you'd drag the sheet of plywood that has been leaning against the shed for the past 3 years that shows some patina and maybe a dirt line from the 4 inches it's sunk into the earth

What you want to make sure and do is to inject and season the turkey really well.
Then, throw that bad boy in the freezer again and let those delicious seasonings set in.
When you are ready, drop that frozen bird in the hot grease and the flavor is really gonna be bursting out of the turkey.
