You at the Roadway Motel?
You'll be fine..and besides They probably have a great fire evacuation plan in place.

Yea they have hourly rates. I figured I could fry this thing in a few hours and be out of here.

The plywood is to keep any extra grease off the floor to make clean-up easier.
And make sure to fill the pot to within 1 inch of the top with the peanut oil....

Leave a leg for me at the front desk and tell them to put some curry on it for me.

Nope. Set it up on the dining room table, get the oil as hot as you can then drop the frozen turkey in from ceiling height.

Go to Dollar General and get several thin plastic shower curtains and cover the floor.

Make sure to have a hose inside in case things start going sideways. Can’t hurt to over prepare. Other than that, your setup looks phenomenal.

The trick is don’t lower it slowly…drop it all in at once. Flash fry it.
Best results are obtained by:
Heating a full pot of oil just below auto ignition temperature and dropping the turkey in while standing on a ladder.

I've done this by accident before
Really fun when the grease hits the flame.

Make sure you have the fire department on speed dial and you're good-to-go!

A grease fire would only improve that decor...

Maybe, but going to need some more information. What's the ceiling & roof situation look like? There really should be a hole cut no more than 1.5 times the circumference of the pot at the smallest measurement. This hole needs to see straight through to the outside. If no hole exists, start cutting with a sawzall.

Have a water hose ready in case there is a grease fire
Posted on 11/26/24 at 9:26 am to stout
you have to drop it in as fast as possible, it makes it cook faster

You have to make sure your oil is extra hot if you're cooking your turkey inside. Crank the propane up as high as you can.
