I know, but there are actually some really stupid assholes that think “If I was there, things would have been different”. In all likelihood no, but even if you did have the moral fiber, I doubt you’d have the balls given what these tyranical regimes would do to your family and friends. I personally doubt I’d have the balls to do Valkyrie knowing what Hitler would do to my wife and kids. I’d just move them west hoping that the Allies would capture them over the Red Army.

A guy spits in your face, do they deserve an arse beating within an inch of their life or just a simple assault charge with due process that they can expunge with pretrial intervention?

If a guy spit in my face, he deserves a good punch in the face, sure. Maybe 2 or 3, that's about it. If you beat a guy to death for spitting in your face then you're a POS.

Also, yes, a simple assault charge is a fair punishment for spitting on someone.

A good friend from high school was biking to school when he got hit and killed by a garbage truck.

Yes, shite happens to good people. This is a dumb thread.

Yeah, but your friend was probably mean to someone at some point in their life, therefore they are not innocent.

OP is using the theological 'innocent' in place of the legal 'innocent', which is beyond disingenuous without clarification.

was he running late to school and happened to be at that spot , at that time because he didnt wake up early enough?

So it’s the victim’s fault of a fatal DUI incident that tge drunk decided to get behind a wheel simply because he/she got in the road too late at night? The frick kind of logic is that?

Is it the victims of 9/11’s fault that a bunch of assholes crashed planes into buildings because they chose that flight?

I'm no papist, but I know the arguments. It's a legitimate theological discussion, but you have to frame it as such. No one here is going to think we are talking about spiritual innocence unless that is explicitly stated.

I said as much in my post,, that OP was attempting to do just that, just was doing a SUPER poor job if it

but, truthfully Im not expending any real effort to argue with OP,, he's a fricking moron

But,, its fun to make fun of idiots

And most of you probably think I deserve something to happen to me for posting this, so again, is anyone really "undeserving" of the shite that may happen to them?

You are correct and to answer the question, there have been plenty of people killed, or injured for just walking into a business for the first time in their life and someone was in the middle of robbing it, there are endless similar examples.

Woof. You're mistaking innocence and responsibility. You are innocent if a dude beats you, but you have to take responsibility of situation and leave.

are there really or do we fall into that narrative with its kumbaya ease of acceptance? Every one is a pristine flower, and there are only a few bad people in this world?

I see adults jaywalking because no one is there to administer punishment, rolling through stop signs, speeding. The human animal only follows laws that they are "immediately" worried about being punished for breaking. Handicap placard abuse, no turn signal, merging at the last minute, all traffic items where people show their true colors. You think people only do that in traffic? They don't fudge on taxes, they don't use sick days for the beach, they don't pawn their work onto someone else, they don't return a dress they never intended to buy, they don't lie on their resumes?

And then all you chiming in about the "could be" 3 a.m. honest citizen worker/driver completely ignore the decisions that led to that person having to work a night job. Like you can't fathom a two time divorcee with back child support may not work a standard job. Anyway it's like IQ, some people can see the trends and others say IQ tests are bogus and prove nothing. Bell curve y'all, keep it 100!
