And its not even close...............

Wasn't there a website value thread a while back? Tigerdroppings was far above the other sports based forums.

The layout and the ability to "respond to" a specific poster makes it great. As much as people make fun of the OT, it is a wealth of general knowledge.

One year I asked how much to tip a maid at Christmas/end of the year. I got a consensus within two minutes. Much better than the circle jerk of reddit.

Who here would fight over TD's honor?

Seriously, if your kid was diagnosed with autism and you read the recent thread that was bumped on TD, you could have saved a ton on chelation therapy, gluten free diet, etc. and would have just gotten your kid in ABA therapy (the only therapy to prove effective in autism in randomly controlled trials).

Sometimes the half-arse knowledge of 10k people is much more valuable than the knowledge of 5 supposed experts. Especially when 20 people of those 10k have personal experience with the doctor that is supposedly an "expert".

Shaggybevo is about the only one that comes to mind that is in the same stratosphere as TD in terms of message boards geared toward regional college athletics

This is by far the best message board I ever used. I never really knew how to use message boards or took them serious until I started learning how things work around here.. And once you come here, you will not find another site that is as user friendly, has the type of interaction, etc at you find here.
