Yes Atlanta is one of the bad ones when interacting with TSA. I know recently the airport authority was threatening to replace the entire TSA staff there with private security due to multiple issues.

I've never had a problem in Atlanta. Great food selection and it's the easiest layout of any massive airport.
Detroit would be the easiest but the volume they take in is much lower.

i had the best/healthiest/cheapest (for non-fast-food) meal i've ever had in an airport, a couple months ago, in Detroit. Some healthy meat-and-3 type market.

Got nothing in the machiene gun toting military checkpoints in the Bogata Columbia airport.

Is there any airport with more rude staff than ATL?
The Delta staff isn't overly friendly there either in my experience.

I've flown out of Hartsfield Jackson around ten times, I think, and I've been pretty impressed every time with the functionality. Are they friendly? Not especially but there are several mid-sized cities passing through every single day. I don't need a warm smile, I need to check in and find and board my plane with a little time to spare. Now, I've heard stories about dickish behavior from TSA officers, but I've never had an issue and never really witnessed anyone else's issue.

I thought Miami was pretty bad.
Miami is bad. Most stressful checkpoint I've gone through at an airport.

Philly was hands down the worst airport I've experienced. ATL sucks too though.

Miami, since it is in another country, is a shithole.

Moscow
Their security wasa bit odd.

Yeah, this is about right. TSA in Atlanta was a lot worse shortly after 9/11. They've progressed from being incompetent to simply unthinking and unfriendly.
I'm happy to have moved away from Georgia to a spot far from any major airport. Sure, it's a longer drive to whatever airport works best but the quality of life is so much better.
And the fast food staff at ATL makes the TSA workers look like genius best friends.

PHL sucks. Never had trouble at ATL, been through there 100+ times.

Don't sell Moisant short. Very cultural.

I hate that airport as well. It's just so fricking spread out. If you have a tight connection and you're at the end of the B terminal and have to go to the end of E, then good luck.
It's one of the busiest airports in the world. It has to be spread out for that very reason. Dallas/Ft. Worth was confusing as shite. I'm glad my ride knew where he was going bc I would have been completely lost.
