Is there actually any couple out there that sleeps in separate beds in the same room?

I’m talking about the Leave it to Beaver style. It seems like a pretty ridiculous thing. I can understand sleeping in separate rooms with separate beds, but in the same room with separate beds right next to each other seems pretty crazy. I would say this is practically nonexistent.

There are many times my wife has insisted that I sleep on the couch.

Does that count?

Do you notify her before going over to her bed or she just knows what's up when you pull back the covers of her bed?

Nighttime jiu-jitsu. My grandfather got his own bed because, as he put it, "Your grandmother apparently dreams about fighting the Yakuza."

My grandmother had her own bedroom because "Your jackass grandfather snores like a goddamned jackhammer sometimes."

God, I miss them.

You do know they only did that in television/movies because they thought it was a little racy at the time to show a couple in bed? It wasn't something generally done in real life. Your grandparents were just as perverted back then as you are now.

My Grandparents did till I was about 12 or 13 then they bought a Queen size bed.

I have a California King, I have to roll over twice to get next to the wife.... I kinda like my space.

This is why I sleep in a separate room from my wife. I snore horribly, and I know it.

I have found it easier to sneak my girlfriend in bed if my wife is not in said bed

Yes. My stepbrother and I do. Except we fashion ours on top of one another--like bunk beds. So many activities!

get that checked out. especially if you have diabetes or high blood pressure.

Turns out I have sleep apnea. My wife would complain about my snoring, and went to the dr.

I routinely sleep in a different room with my wife. She wiggles a lot.
